Okay stay in Hassslt. Friendly staff and good location, but pricey and not cosy

Very friendly staff, nice location right at the train station and next to the city centre if Hasselt.

It was, for a hostel, quite pricey (97 euro for a 2 person room). The room was clean but absolutely not cosy (barren concrete wall, looked like a bunker or an office instead of a nice place to spend a night)

Nice and quiet environment

Near to the Hasselt train station and bus station. Lockers in the room had keys and can be used by inserting a 2euro coin , which you can retrieve when locker is not in use. Clean sheets.

Soap containers in the bathroom and sink area were empty, room light was not working and the shower head was not practical. Not sure if it was damaged or that’s just the design.

Good location, nice bathroom, cold atmosphere, strange smell

The direct proximity to the train station is a big plus. And also the resulting proximity to the city centre (about ten minutes' walk). Check-in is without any problems. Our room has an appealingly spacious bathroom with a separate toilet - we didn't expect that.

The room is spacious enough, the view of the station not without charm. But it is so unadorned (bare walls in shell style) that you can't stand it in the room any longer than absolutely necessary. The furnishings also leave a lot to be desired. Very basic, well, it is officially a youth hostel, what more could you expect? Certainly not the pervasive smell of unknown origin that - especially - prevails in the corridors. And it is also noticeable in the breakfast buffet. The buffet itself is sufficient, but not at all inviting. The emphatically cool atmosphere of the open-plan room is not conducive to relaxed lingering. And the bread, especially when offered without a toaster or the like, is quite inedible (even if it is bakery goods). In the past, this soggy toast would have been called "typical", but today people in Flanders or the Netherlands know "how bread works". But not in Hostel H. The coffee is ok.

Good for one night if you can't afford any better place.

Location is very good, staff nice and ready to help. Breakfast nice and you will not leave it hungry.

Room was very raw. Room and toilet were clean but smell of chemicals used to clean it was a nightmare. Beds were very unconfortable.

Really good location right next to train station. Nice walk to city center. Good breakfast. Nice common area.

I had the only upper bed in the room and there were no sockets around. Bathroom sink was clogged.

1 - reception don't work 24 hours 2- no shampoo and soap in shower and sink 3 - they use recycling toilet so when you flush still urine in toilet 4 - The receptionist man in evening lay on me in evening that he don't have any iron or Laundry services but in morning I get iron from girl

Good place to stay on a budget.

Good breakfast included. Safe bike parking makes it an excellent place for bikepackers. Each bed has a light and plug.

The bathrooms and showers are inside the rooms, making it impossible to use them at night without bothering other guests.

Good value hostel

Super friendly staff. Great location close to the train station. There was a nice lounge area with a bar. Locked luggage area available.

The cleanliness and smell of the rooms weren't terrible but could be better. The bed and pillow weren't comfortable for me personally.

Pleasant one night stay

Nice breakfast, clean room, quiete location and friendly stuff. I've stayed only one night but I would not expect any issue if I had stayed longer.

Pleasant

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a free breakfast and it was good for the price. The room was spacious and we were surprised to have 2 showers (it was a 6 bed room). It was right outside the station and in a seemingly nice and safe area.

The room didn't look like it was cleaned properly before we arrived. The floor had sand and dust on it. One of the showers was cold and low pressure. The bathrooms smelled like they weren't cleaned. We had to buy wipes and wipe down everything. The mattresses were also dusty and uncleaned. The breakfast was quite lacking on one of the days we stayed (there wasn't even a toaster for the bread!!).

Very Basic

Location excellent. very clean. friendly staff. Cheap breakfast bread selection of meats and cheese hot and cold drinks

We picked up our key at 4pm and then hotel and straight back out. Came back at 11pm only one light no heating none of the plugs worked had to have a shower using touch on phone. Could not complain as no staff on site. We laugh about it now . If you want better go to a hotel and pay more
