Nice location but disappointing

The location is very pretty and the staff is really nice, also the breakfast was really good!

You have to reserve your time at the pool, there was no availability left to go, when we told them it was unacceptable to make a reservation to go to the pool, they accepted that we went for 27 min. When we arrived at the spa, the Hammam was not working at all. Honestly the rooms were very old looking and there was stains on the carpet and in the bath of being old. Not 5 stars acceptable.

I reserve the room deluxe. They give me handicapped room so was floating all around the bathroom. Staff was very unpolite reception because the hotel is full so we cannot do anything so it’s not a five star three star hotel thank you.

Discrimination at its finest

Absolute shambles of a 5 star hotel you have to pay for sauna gym etc only aloud one hour which was fully booked. We can’t comment on restaurant as this was also fully booked honestly this hotel is a joke had to change rooms at 10.30pm no AC no help with bags. Highly wouldn’t recommend if you are English as they only give a good service to French people in suits. The night staff man was rude and unprofessional also the day time man in glasses was unprofessional and sarcastic.Day time lady sorry didn’t get her name black lady around 40 was amazing every think else was a disgrace highly wouldn’t recommend. We paid extra for lake view which was no more than 20% views. Drove 2 hours for this as it looks lovely in pictures but honestly it’s a joke poor quality furniture scratches all over furniture. The man walking around late at night serving room service was snorting walking past us and thought he was a gangster I am so disappointed. Are vacation was ruined due to all these issues please don’t bother with this hotel they are rude and unprofessional. Apart from the lady I mentioned and a few staff at breakfast. No manager on site they didn’t even offer to help with bags when leaving but I see them helping a French couple in a Range Rover discrimination at its finest. The lake is beautiful which is why we came but honestly there’s not enuf space to tell you how bad are experience was just avoid at all cost so nobody has to go threw what we did I’m writing a formal complaint to the owner just to let him know how he’s multiple million pound business is getting run by unprofessional rude staff. I’ve stayed all over the world and never had to pay extra to use pool gym etc and to be told you only get one hour at a certain time slot. If I didn’t kick up a big fuss we was no way getting in the sauna booking.com needs to seriously look into this hotel.

Beautiful place!

the room was gorgeous and the facilities are wonderful. I came for work, but it would be a lovely stay-cation outside of Brussels!

It was all fantastic, but it was a shame you have to pay 10 eurs to enter the gym.

The room was a good size, unfortunately the carpet showed stains here and there - which might not have shown if it had been patterned, but were more obvious on the brown colour. The food was excellent, portions could have even been a bit smaller as after the 4-course dinner I felt I had eaten a bit too much. Friendly service, a pity the first course took 40 minutes to arrive at the table. I was not in a hurry, so no big deal, but shows room for improvement.

I have to say that the smell in the room was overpowering, and we had to leave the window open during the night. We couldn't sleep. I understand that the hotel has their perfume but to use it in the bedrooms is way to much, so big minus for that

Pleasant hotel & location & would return.

Room & bed were very comfortable which with the air conditioning was just what we needed after our drive from Amsterdam ferry port & the nearby windmills on a very hot day. The hotel overlooks a small lake, is peaceful & only a short drive to the Waterloo battlefield. Breakfast on the balcony was a lovely setting & seemed like a bonus.

We were tired when we arrived at 5.00 pm or so & had a relatively short wait for our room which should have been ready over an hour before. There was a big wedding reception that evening which may explain the delay & as it turned out the missing bath towels & shampoos etc.

Despite my earlier booking from 4th March till 10th March, done in Dec 2022, when request was made in Feb to bring down the stay duration from 4th March till 8th March, I was asked to cancel ticket and do fresh reservation despite modify date option was available, which did not worked. As a result I ended up paying extra for last minute booking. This could have been handled in a more proficient manner, as I wasn't expecting this. When this concern was raised to hotel staff, they said it's booking.com who need to address this. Really a bad experience in this front.

Disturbed evening was unpleasant.

Spa not big but ok for relaxing an hour (extra cost is bummer for a 200 euro room) Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so cannot give opnion about that

Had noise in room from 18:30 till 21:20. Sounded like a disco in the proximity. At first thought it was an event in the neighbourhood. Turned out to be from the gym which was on the floor right on top of our room. Was quite disappointed that the noise was actually caused by the hotel itself! Some damages to room furniture and wall paper were disappointing for the standard we expected.

Pricey hotel for the offered quality. Big and confortable rooms, though.

The rooms are big and nice. Super comfy beds. The staff is friendly. If you get lucky to get a room with a view to the lake, it's perfect. The surroundings are very nice for a walk or a bycicle ride.

The hotel has areas that look old and dated. A renewal wouldn't be bad. Paying additional costs for 1 hour of Spa it's just ridiculous being a hotel guest. The breakfast is poor and there was no one to guide us to a table or even at the entrance of the breakfast area/room. We had major problems with other guests smoking in the rooms and main areas, and doing a party until 6 a.m. with loud music and screaming. We called the reception 3 times and besides warning the other guests, nothing additional was done. So, one night of no sleep at all. After complaining at the reception on the morning after, the staff was very helpful and understanding and of course apologizing for the situation. With strict policies of non smoking and silence after 10 p.m., calling the police would be the right thing to do.
