The outside of the venue looks very cosy, nice lighting at night, plenty of parking space. Overall nice location.
You need to check-in at a counter futher down the road, the lodge where the room is located has seen better days, plumbing is outdated, room was very warm and damp but clean. Dealbreaker: airco was not working. Paint at the window is withering. Because of the damp moist warm room I couldn't sleep. Bed felt sub-par. Cancelled the room as a result... Disappointing. Staff was very friendly <3 I have the idea they wanted to make money using an asset that they don't consider a part of their hotel proper.

Very quiet and relaxing stay to disconnect from city life. Amazingly kind and professional staff at breakfast, bar and reception.
The bed was very comfortable and the room had an old charm to it. A country home away from home! The breakfast was served in the hotel next door, it was very good and plentiful even late in the morning. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night
Nothing :-)

The place is fine and quiet. Very nice place with the lake.
We booked a room with balcony and got it confirmed in writing. Even than we did not get it. Changed room 3 times. The room was not cleaned after previous gest.
All the problems the personnel claimed on each other instead of solving the problem. Booking , reception and housekeeping need to talk to each other. Instead of blaming each other infront of the guest. The quest is not the problem. The quest is customer to take care of.

I was upgraded to Martin’s Chateau du Lac. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a lovely location by the lake at Genval, great to walk around. It was about 10 mins walk to the station, the walk is quite steep.
The room was a little tired at the edges, but it didn’t affect the comfort of my stay.

At least it was clean.
Horrible experience. Broken airco in 30 degree weather after booking a room with specified airconditioning , no effort from staff to make the situation better, no apologies, nothing.
Don’t recommend.

Easy and quick booking as well as check-in. The hotel was way above my expectations in all areas. The room was clean, large and well-equipped. The area where the hotel is located is very nice and quite. The breakfast was excellent.

The rooms are exceptional, very nice size, great equipment, clean and with very comfy beds. Breakfast is amazing, with a very nice offer of food and drinks and a lovely view of the Genval lake.
Everything was great!

Setting « in the middle of forest », although technically in the village. The vila is surrounded by trees on all sides, the room have an antique feel to them (no two rooms are the same as layout).
Checkin at the Château du Lac (the hotel next door) - I knew that, but I can see how it can be an inconvenient if you go directly to the Manoir. No elevator and very steep staircase - could be problematic for bulky luggage.

Good location and great breakfast.
The reception address is different from the hotel address, it took us some effort to find it.

First time in my life that a 5 star hotel could not provide me with dinner.

Nice place, manoir type. The house is not perfect but it has it charm.
A really nice and quite place.
The Manoir is linked to the Château du Lac and check-in has to be made in the latter, not very convenient when it rains..

The space, the bed and the breakfast are fine.
I received an upgrade to the Château and everything there was great:
the room, the tastefulness, the bathroom, etc. My opinion of the Manoir is less favourable (I stayed there two months later). Part of this concerns the price differential, but not all: the dangerous steps and the unreachable bedside lamp switches for example (see below).
Access from the avenue at night is badly visible.
The steps outside and inside are difficult for guests beyond a certain age.
The bedlight's switch to turn on and off is far too high and hard to find in the dark.
All the heating in the room was on at too high a level.
The bathroom doorhandle came loose when closing the door.
Having to step into a bath to get a shower is risky (beyond a certain age).
The absence of personal contact on arrival - only a disembodied voice - is a bit spooky.

The Manoir is an old mansion converted to a number of classic hotel room. it’s part of the Château du Lac, where we’ve stayed before. The room was equipped with every expected item. Classic decorations. We made use of the spa in the Château, which was 5 minutes walk.
The room was quite warm and it was difficult to control the temperature. Otherwise no complaints at all

The venue was wonderful and the surrounding countryside provided us with a peaceful week-end. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We will be recommending Martin's Genval venues to our family and friends.
There was nothing to dislike!

Location
No staff on site, facilities such as meal taking, staff and reception services were a hilly 5 minute walk away at the mail hotel Chateau de Lac.
No provision for mobility issues.

Very complete breakfast buffet offering anything you desire. The spa was a very nice bonus add-on that we utilised everyday. It made the stay special. We ate one evening at the in-hotel restaurant. 'Genval les Bains' on the outdoor terrace. It was very nice with great cuisine.
Can't say anything bad about the hotel. When we were placed in the Chateau du Lac instead of the Manoir we we given a lakeview room, which was fantastic. However, the electricity to the fridge and safe was defective and we were forced to change rooms - unfortunately to a garden view room. Same room difference view. This is not a dislike, just a slight disappointment. Our 3-night stay was fantastic.

Location in park
room very „lived out“.
The breakfast was ver disappointing, not in the regular (nice) restaurant, but in a basement meeting room. The quality was accordingly reduced. Versus our high expectations, it was not good value for money at all.
The hotel seems to focus more on events than on the regular , traditional hotel business.
This was a special occasion for us, which was somewhat spoiled.

Excellent breakfast and the location is wonderful
No one on site. The Manoir is part of but not connected to the Chateau.

This accomodation is a part of the chateau du lac, where you have your breakfast and bar.
We were very dissapointed about the bar this was closed for the whole hotel on a the holiday evening , 6 june, the reception told us that there was a staff problem and that we have to go out of the hotel to find a bar somewhere else, but there was nothing!!! breakfast was very poor
