A very nice hotel

We stayed for one night at Hotel Avalon when attending a wedding at the nearby Tombeek Plage. The location was very convenient, a short walk from the wedding venue. Nick, the owner was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was great. The room was perfect for a short stay.

The double bed was not very wide. I would guess 140-160 cm. We would have liked a bit more space.

The hotel and staff were great friendly made you feel welcome very much down to earth. Just a great place you feel comfortable and welcoming. I have stayed in lots of hotels. But this is like home from home. Will be back defo

Very old place that needs renovation. The bathroom window fell off when I tried to open it. I think the bed was 120cm wide with a 160cm matress on top.

Extremely comfortable clean bed. Slept very well. Exellent value for money. Everything I needed was provided.

No negative for me. Tired decor that other reviews mention did not matter to me as I did not sit there looking at the walls.

If not for the staff, this would be a complete fail.

The staff is very nice, friendly and polite. In fact, during my visit, there was one guy only who worked 24/7 and a girl who assist him sometime in the restaurant.

The facility has not been renovated for many years: radiators are rusty, ingrained dirt on a toilet, tons of wires on the floor of the room: from an outlet through the wall to a hall. There is no soap in the bathroom and there is a broken soap dispenser in the cabinet under the sink. The hanger is torn out of the wall and inserted back, if you touch it, it fall out. Breakfasts are simple: not good not bad.

Wonderful place, in a nice village. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. The owners are very friendly and helpful. As a single girl traveling with my dogs I felt comfortable and enjoyed the stay. I would recommend this hotel !!

Very nice personnel. The bed was good. It was clean. I needed a very last minute place to stay and they were still open fortunately..

Noise from the road. I could change rooms and that helped a bit. The bathroom really needs a renovation, everything worked but some tiles were broken, I think because of an renovation. It seems like they are working on the hotel. The man who was working there was very helpful with the luggage and changing rooms etc. That compensated a lot.

The hotel seats next to a buzzy road, and the sonic isolation is not up to it. The shower, as pictured, was broken, and there was a used condom below the desk... Very charming, and never again!

Pleasant

Nice and quiet location, very close to Brussels. It was worth the stop! Great staff who really took care of us unless we arrived a little bit after the check-in time. Good, basic but fresh breakfast.
