A pleasant, comfortable stay

Location was fantastic, the room was ideal and the host was lovely to deal with. There's a great TV and tea station in the room and we were free to come and go as we pleased. The carpark and wifi are great facilities to have too

It's not exactly a B&B as no breakfast was provided, so we jokingly called it 'The B' throughout the trip. A little on the expensive side for a room alone, but was by far the most affordable option we found in Galway at this time of year

A perfect place if you do not like to feel like an anonymous tourist.

I liked the way it felt like arriving home, in my room, I had everything I needed -- I could even iron my blouses. I liked that the room was warm and cozy. My favourite item was the table near the window, a perfect spot for writing! Everything was clean and nice, a little bit vintage -- just like at home. Also, the owner, Jim, was very nice and we talked almost every time we met, he gave a lot of good advice, and helped a lot.

The experience was disappointing and despite a convenient location and parking it was overpriced

No breakfast provided. Ground floor room was not fit for purpose as furniture and decor was very dated, bathroom facilities were not good-toilet cistern was not properly fixed to wall, no shower door and water spilt onto floor, sink taps loose and not securely fitted. Electric shower not working properly, but it was warm, broken towel rail on door. Just outside the window of the room was an oil fired burner which was noisy and difficult to sleep when on. Only positive about the experience was that it was near the city, hospital and University and had all day parking included.

The locality. The eatery advice we received of good places close by.

Where do I start? The room, ultra basic as basic goes, cleanliness a lot to be desired. Beds awful, the dirt behind headboards was disgusting. Television that didn't work and hadn't been cleaned since it was put up. Toilet is so small to be of any benefit, no plug-in the sink, just a dirty big gapping hole. I'd definitely not be recommending it at all. The whole place, although it was in a fantastic location for the likes of the hospital and city, a cleaning firm in would make it so much healthier and much more appealing. The mildew on the windows tells you all that you need to know.

Place is very smelly due to a dog being kept there, especially in the main entrance, very bad odor, toilet barely flushed, jug and appliances didnt really work and would turn on at random points in the night making a lot of noise. Shower easily flooded too. Overall, the place was very dirty and not well kept, it could be lovely with a bit of TLC

Great location with parking, but needs to be updated

I reserved here because it was close to Galway Latin Quarter, has parking, and allows children. The manager is nice, and the neighborhood is very nice.

The door could not be locked from the inside (the lock doesn't align), which needs to be fixed. Some of the fixtures were broken, like the towel bar. There was no shower door/drape so the bathroom would get wet after every shower. The pillows smelled some (not the pillow covers), probably older pillows.

In spite of the description mentioning choices of breakfast, there is NO BREAKFAST, and hasn't been for years. The owner was rude and insulting. I have never felt so disrespected by a BnB owner. The place was dated and dirty with mold in the bathroom. Completely unsafe outlet (the only one in the room).

Perfect one night base of operations next to the heart of Galway

Great location, house very nice with a lot of character! Met Jim the owner when we checked in, he was so sound and lovely. So friendly, we had a great chat and he steered us to some great spots in the town. Exactly what we needed. Place to park the car was also a major plus! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Very clean and in spite of the room being very small, it nonetheless had all facilities one needed.

The small room had good facilities- a wardrobe, table and chair along with a fridge, a kettle and the makings for tea/coffee plus a small ironing board and a good iron, as well as a hairdryer. The shower was a nice semi-circular one, there was soap and shampoo and there were two bath towels.

There was no shower mat on the shower floor and no bathmat to stand on once out of the shower. Not good for people with brittle bones!
