Warm and friendly

Being close to galway town, it was easy to walk in and out of town about 10 to 15mins, breakfast was lovely and fresh, staff where very friendly. Beds where comfortable.

Room was abit small and the only mirror near a plug socket was located behind the door so had to get ready hair/make up on the floor, there was no chair/mirror set up which could be abit hard for older or less able bodied people.

Galway was fantastic the music, food, people, shops, bus trips and the drink

Great spot, excellent food friendly staff and the drink prices were reasonable short walk to the city center lots of places to get food close by and Tesco extra on the corner

The Bedrooms and shower are very small this is the only real down side to The Sliding Rock

Cozy room with an over a pub charm

Loved the pub . Room was cozy.

Band was super loud but we expected this. Breakfast started too late at 8:30. Felt price was high for what we received. I would still recommend.

Absolutely fine!

Staff are exceptional, every person we interacted with was super helpful and friendly. The food was good, and even though the pub was downstairs we didn’t find the noise overly loud. Parking was easy and plentiful

A pub and a bed

Well, you are staying above a bar, so be ready for that. Checking in was with the waitstaff. Surprisingly, it was quiet and we never heard bar noise. The breakfast was amazing and totally worth it. Parking is included and not too far of a walk to town. It was nice to be able to listen to music and head upstairs after.

Really lovely clean room. The staff were really nice and helpful. We had a meal in the bar which was really nice. The bathroom was a bit small but overall, a great place to stay. There are takeaway different takeaway options next door. A great coffee and pastry place a few doors up.

Friendly place with a great Irish welcome

Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a mix up with the booking (totally my fault) but the venue was able to correct my error and were very nice about it. Breakfast was also great.

Very small rooms and super small bathroom. We knew this when we booked. However, we had two medium sized suitcases and when those were open, we had no walking space. Paper thin walls. Could hear everything on the floor we stayed on.

a special place, in a special place

Extremely easy to find and parking facilities a real bonus! Central to everywhere and great location to bring children. Turn left and you are a 10min walk from Salthill Promenade. Turn right and you are a 5min walk from the canal/Spanish arch. Couldn't have asked for better. Staff extremely polite and helpful. In the evening Bar staff couldn't do enough for us (even though Liverpool won late on 😡 Breakfast, more than we could eat!!! Can't wait to come back

Overall, a a nice place to stay as it is well taken care of by kind & helpful staff members.

The rooms are right above the bar, but the noise could be hardly heard and thus was not disturbing. The hotel facilities and our room were very clean and very well looked after. The staff members were extremely kind and helpful.

It was quite hard to find the hotel as the googlemaps were taking us to the hospital across the road, and one more family said they had experienced the same. The bathroom was extremely tiny but that was OK.

The absolute cleanest hotel I’ve ever seen

While the rooms are quite small, they were impeccably clean. I’ve never seen a clean hotel in my life…. The morning breakfast was simply outstanding.! Highly recommend

Room was small yet functional. Location great as we could walk to the city centre. Breakfast was exceptional.

They do have live music weekends and our room was right above the action - very noisy, it started up at 10pm. Just be aware and request room at back if they are available.

Plumbing was very noisy. The noisiest I've ever heard. The back where you park is where all the bins are which is fine. However there was a lot of rubbish around there. Also lots bird poo on the back steps to the car park that was still there the next day. We had a drink and the first glass of wine I ordered for my Fiancee was covered in dirty marks. I asked for a second glass but although cleaner still wasn't clean. The bed was very squeaky. The corners of the bed stuck out and it was very easy to painfully bang your knees in to it which we did.

Parking was secure, the bar was nice, breakfast was yum - nice to be able to order off the menu. Location was good - 10 min to town was fine.

Bed was uncomfortable, pillows were thin. Room very small. Pipes in the ceiling were very loud overnight making it hard to sleep.
