Lydie was lovely and a great host. Room was spot on - well decorated with excellent facilities. All made for a very comfortable break away. Check-in experience was great.

Albyn Townhouse was a nice place to stay and within easy walking distance of good restaurants for breakfast and dinner. The place is interesting, at the end of a quiet street lined with pretty townhouses with gardens. It is great that there is parking right at the property! You will enjoy the eclectic decor. The owner is very friendly and told us the best places to go.
I stayed at Albyn on the end of a hiking trip through the Cairngorms and Isle of Skye. After already having hiked over 75 miles on trails, I found the place was a little further away from city center than optimal. It was a 10 mile day on concrete and cobblestones just walking from Albyn Townhouse to Edinburgh Castle, down the Royal Mile and back to Albyn. It was the first foot pain I experienced on the trip. The next day, I had to take an Uber to the National Gallery. Uber is super easy in Edinburgh.

The house was beautiful, very quirky. The room was well equipped and comfortable. A bit warm but we did land there in a heatwave. We were able to sit by the window where the view over Edinburgh was amazing
