Exceptional

It is in the middle of the old town of Mainz, It is quite well equiped and spacious. There is a bath tub which I enjoyed. It is quiet and tranquil with a supermarket diagonally across the street. It is within walking distance to everything and a highlight was the meal at the restaurant (not belonging to the apartment owner(s)) downstairs in the little parking? square in front of the apoartments, but off the street.

Uber taxis have to come from Wiesbaden. and take forever. I lost my train through waiting more than 40 minutes. Book ahead. Warm water .in the kitchenette was unavailable at night and in the early morning. The kettle helped to solve that problem. Tthere is no microwave oven, oven or washing machine. The stove is the only device for heating any food. Be warned that there are two flights of narrow stairs to navigate. Not easy with a large and heavy suitcase. These eemarks are not meNt to criticize the apartment, but to inform future guests.

Fine for what I needed.

Good accommodation. Clean sheets. Free wi-fi appreciated. All items supplied that should be. Shower and bath functioned effectively.

Low ceilings resulted in several head knocks! Two flights of stairs to reach the accommodation, without a lift, might be difficult for anyone old or infirm. Apartment superficially clean, but plenty of dust/dirt behind and under the furniture.

Quiet, relaxed, middle of town, near everything

No breakfast included, but lot's of possible breakfast-locations around. Quiet location near square with shops&restaurants. Downstairs/outside there's a restaurant too, but it stayed calm.

Curtains are thin, so to avoid the light early in the morning, you need to be creative ;-)

Perfect location. Persian carpet, some antique furniture, attractive artwork. Decorator had good taste. Small but well equipped kitchen. High quality finishing materials. Quiet.

No breakfast but there was a kitchenette and a grocery store across the street. Located at the end of the walking street.

Difficult to communicate with host to pick up the keys (received from friends who checked in earlier). Ours was a loft unit with low beams & ceilings. VERY hot with only a fan for ventilation. VERY poor pillows(?) with no pillow-cases (only some sort of cover of indeterminate cleanliness)

Place needed to be dusted...not good in Covid era. Bedding low grade. Kitchen area unlit, tap half blocked.

It is a nice place in a very good spot to visit Mainz. A few downsides makes but worth the money.

Though the kitchen looks small, everything we needed was there and worked well.

The fact, that the property has windows on only one side, makes it very difficult to vent deeply. On top of that the space downstairs was used by the restaurant'/café acros the street, so that cigaret smoke was sometimes drivting in.

Das war eine gute und interessante Aufenthalt.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich in einem alten guten Haus, als Appartment ist gut ausgestattet, etwas altmodisch und bequem. Das liegt am Rande der Mainzer Altstadt, hat daher eine schöne Lage in der Stadtmitte.

In der Duschkabine sind einige Röhren nicht richtig befestigt, das war schon bisschen störend beim Duschen.

Die Ausstattung war sehr gut und sehr wohnlich

Was gar nicht ging, war das Bett. Es war gut für eine Person, aber für 2 Personen, wenn nicht 18 und frisch verliebt, sehr eng und schwierig mit dem ein und Ausstieg.

Trotz allem komme ich gerne wieder.

Eine sehr schön gelegene Unterkunft unmittelbar an Rhein und Altstadt.

Die Dusche braucht dringend eine neue Aufhängung und einen neuen Duschkopf. Keine teure Investition! Ein zweites Handtuch ist eigentlich Standard in einer normalen Unterkunft.

Engagement & Freundlichkeit des Vermieters war angenehm und zielführend! Einrichtung mängelbehaftet.

Die Lage ist perfekt. Der Telefonkontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr freundlich, er hat sich sofort darum gekümmert, dass aufgetretene Schwierigkeiten alsbald behoben werden konnten.

Eigentlich kann nur ein Mensch, der mindestens 1,80 Meter misst, alle Einrichtungen in der Wohnung bequem nutzen: der Spiegel im Bad hängt so hoch, dass ich nicht mal meine Augenbrauen sehen konnte; die Inhalte des Oberschrankes in der Küche konnte ich mit großer Mühe, auf den Zehenspitzen, herausfischen; Kaffeebecher gibt es keine, 2 kleine Tassen ohne Untersetzer sind vorhanden, Topfdeckel lagen in dem obersten Regal des Oberschrankes , sind beim Öffnen des Schrankes herausgepurzelt; Die Duschtür ist nicht funktionsfähig, droht herauszufallen, die Duschstange ist nicht befestigt.

Unbequem schlafen in guter Lage

Die Lage der Wohnung ist gut, deshalb haben wie sie auch ausgewählt. Die Einrichtung ist überwiegend auch ganz nett.

Das Bett (das nur 1.4m breit ist) ist furchtbar unbequem mit einer enorm durchgelegenen Matratze. Aus dem Bad strömt ein widerlicher Kanalgeruch und die Lüftung wurde wsl seit 10 Jahren nicht gereinigt (siehe Foto). Zudem hängt geschmacklose, sexistisch Kunst an den Wänden und die Wohnung ist grundsätzlich schlecht gepflegt (viele Flecken und Fahrer an den Wänden, Teppich war nicht gründlich gereinigt etc.). Aufgrund des Restaurants im Hof, ist es auch recht laut, auch wenn die Gäste schon gegangen sind, wird hier noch lautstark Müll entsorgt. Wir würden hier nicht nochmal schlafen und können es auch nicht empfehlen. Der Vermieter war am Telefon zudem äußerst unfreundlich, als wir unseren Check-In nach hinten verschieben wollten, dies war auch nicht möglich. Es ist mit nicht begreiflich, wie sich eine Unterkunft am Markt halten kann, die ein inflexibles Check-In-Fenster von nur 2 Stunden (!!) anbietet. Alles in allem keine gute Erfahrung und deutlich zu teuer für die gebotene Qualität.

Passt mit Abstrichen

Super Lage, romantische Hinterhof-Dachausblicke, sehr gute Matratze, gute Küchenausstattung

WLAN funktionierte nicht, Freude über Kaffeebohnen und Hand-Kaffeemühle verflog schnell, da Mühle nicht funktioniert, musste doch noch der Kaffee vom Penny gegenüber her. Unangenehm war auch der durchdringende Nikotingestank im Treppenhaus von der Wohnung gegenüber. Der zieht auch ein wenig durch die Wohnungstür. Aber insgesamt wars gut.

Ein interessantes Appartement in einer tollen Gegend

Die Lage ist mega - man kann in Mainz kaum besser wohnen. Total sympathische Ecke, toller Bäcker zum Frühstücken und nah an Altstadt und Dom. Es macht einfach Spaß dort zu schlendern und zu wissen, dasaß keinen weiten Heimweg hast.

Lt der Beschreibung befinden sich Handtücher in der Unterkunft. Wenn ich für 2 Personen buche, rechne ich mit 2 Handtüchern (1xklein, 1x groß) pro Person. Als wir in die Wohnung kamen, war nur für eine Person ein Handtuchsatz da. Da der Vermieter vorher gesagt hatte, wir sollten anrufen, wenn etwas sei, haben wir das gemacht. Als wir um weitere Handtücher baten, fing er an zu diskutieren, dass man bei einer Übernachtung sowieso keine Handtücher bekäme und das Waschen Geld koste und wir doch eine preiswerte Unterkunft gesucht hätten. Er meinte dann aber, er wolle nicht diskutieren, er würde uns noch Handtücher zukommen lassen. Das ist aber nicht passiert. Schade!!! Denn das kleine Appartement hat Charme und hätte eine bessere Bewertung verdient. Es ist nicht so sauber, Gläser, Geschirr, die Kücheneinrichtung hat wirklich noch Luft nach oben. Aber alles ist auch witzig und originell - und wird mit der Mega Lage getoppt. Wenn der Vermieter sich etwas anstrengen würde- könnte er die beste Location der Stadt vermieten

Ruhig und Zentral

Kleines, gemütliches Apartment in sehr ruhiger Hinterhof Lage. Zentral in der Mainzer Altstadt gelegen, ein idealer Ort um die Stadt zu erkunden. Liegt im "Bermuda Dreieck" der Stadt mit vielen Weinstuben, Kneipen und Restaurants. S-Bahn oder Stadtbus in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.
