It is located near the central train station

Every where was so messy, there were a bunch of hair on the floor. There room smell bad. The weren't any sheets on the beds. It didn't have hair dryer. There wasn't any Washing machine. There weren't any slippers. The quality of the internet was awful. The kitchen equipments werent appropriate.

A good shower with a powerful spray.

Called the phone number listed on Booking, but it was not answered. Messages also went unanswered. A WhatsApp message from an unknown man explained how to check in — without mentioning the name of the apartment, the date, or the address. After waiting for half an hour, we received the phone number of the “unknown man” from other guests. Arrogant and without any apology: I sent you a message. We are cycling 600 km through Germany and staying somewhere different every night. The room couldn’t be darkened or cooled and is located next to a six-lane highway with deafening noise. The bottom sheet was covered in black specks.

The host does not answer calls or messages

I was planning to stay with my father for 2 nights in Mainz, from Friday afternoon till Sunday morning. I made a booking few days ahead, and once I made a booking I got a message from the host that Friday morning he/she will send directions how to get keys and enter the apartment, That was the only time the host contacted me, and it was just one sentence in German, the host does not speak any other languages. On Friday, which was the date of check-in, there were no messages from the host, I texted and called the host many times, but there was no answer. When we landed in Frankfurt Airport on Friday evening (we were flying from abroad, had lots of luggage), I was calling the host again, and again no answer. I had to book a hotel in Frankfurt, we could not loose any more time searching for the host or the place, it was already evening, my father is 75 and had to take proper rest. I called Booking.com customer service, the operator also could not reach the host. Until now the host did not contact me, never apologized or explained what happened. I think the host even blocked my number. Extremely dissappointed, because we specifically wanted to stay in Mainz, my father used to live there long time ago. Instead we had to stay in Frankfurt. I asked for full refund, as it was obviously the fault of the host, but Booking.com took the side of the host and rejected my request for full refund

The worst place that I stayed at this summer

This property might be OK if you speak German, live in Germany and want to stay for one night for visiting the university in the winter. There is a shared space outside that is OK if you want to escape the dismal room.

As there is no reception, the owner should reply to Booking.com questions but she didn’t. We needed to phone her. She texted a message that said (in German) that we needed to type a code in a black key box but there were three black key boxes! The correct box didn’t work well. “Apartment Bahnhoff” is a studio room in a building that has various different owners. There are no signs to tell you that you are the right place. We had to ask random people if we were at the correct place. Ironically, the owner sent us a text at 10:30pm (a couple of hours after we found the room) with photos of the box and door. She should have done this earlier through Booking.com. Dealing with finding the correct building/doorway/box is not ideal after a long international flight. The room’s old bathroom door handle does not work. My daughter was locked in there for an hour because the handle fell off and needed to wait for me to return. If she were alone, I’m not sure how she would have escaped (people don’t take phones into bathrooms expecting to be trapped). You don’t want to stay in the room and cannot sleep in the room in the summer. Bizarrely, the curtains do not cover the whole window area. The windows face the sun. So it is like a greenhouse in the day. You need to open the windows at night to cool down the room, but there is a busy road outside, so you feel like you’re sleeping on a motorway. Worse than the road, an rude neighbour came in around 2am and played loud TV until around 4am on both nights (weeknights). There are permanent residents in this building, so this selfish person might be a long lasting feature of the building…

The place has a lot of potential. Great location, neat arrangement. Exactly like it looks in the photos. Very convenient

Some things can be improved: the shower did not drain well. The owner did not speak English ( thanks that I know a bit of German). The apartment did not have an ironing board, or complementary things such as coffee, toiletries...That would be an awesome extra

They didn't contact at all even though I booked the room in advance. so I couldn't stay the hostel as I couldn't enter. Terribly irresponsible facility.

Konnte gut und ruhig schlafen, obwohl an einer viel befahrenen Straße gelegen.Toplage, etwa 600m zum Bahnhof und zur Uniklinik-fussläufig gut erreichbar. Hilfsbereiter Vermieter.Autoparkplatz. Gut ausgestattet. Empfehlenswert

Zustand und Hygiene

Die Lage

Die Hygiene ist nicht vorhanden Das Badezimmer war in einem menschenunwürdigen Zustand. Die Toilette hatte überall Spritzer, Haare, Verfärbungen, sowie die Dusche und der Waschbecken. Im Kühlschrank schon lange abgelaufene, offene Milch, die gestunken hat und nicht mehr zuzuordnende Nahrungsreste klebten überall. Nicht nur eklig, es ist gefährlich!

Unterkunft war verfügbar. Hatte sie am Abend noch spontan gebucht. Vermieter war NICHT erreichbar. Bis heute ca. 5 Wochen her. Musste mir spät am Abend noch eine andere Unterkunft suchen. Geld wurde NICHT zurückbezahlt!

Günstige Unterkunft in der Nähe des Bahnhofs

Mir wurde gesagt, dass ich vor dem Haus parken kann, aber alle Parkplätze waren mit Firmennamen gekennzeichnet (man kann wohl trotzdem dort parken). Rechnung wurde erst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen (ca. 1,5 Monate nach Aufenthalt) ausgestellt.

Es war sehr leicht an den Schlüssel zu kommen.

Es gab Schimmel im Bad in der Dusche, die Lift war sehr stickig trotz Lüften.

Nur die Lage war überzeugend, der Rest nicht.

Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren vorhanden, wer mehr als zwei benötigt, muss sich welche mitbringen. Tolle Lage, innerhalb von 10 Minuten Fußweg am HBF oder 20 Minuten Innenstadt. Aufzug war vorhanden, Schlüsselübergabe per Schlüsselbox.

Es fehlte an Putzutensilien, außer einem Kehrblech war nichts vorhanden. Auf dem Boden lagen Zweige und Krümel von den Vorgängern. Im Bad waren Haare im Waschbecken. Mehrere Insekten in der Wohnung vorhanden (Ohrenkneifer und Silberfischchen) In den Schränken lagen alte Batterien, ein benutzter Deoroller und irgendwelche Stangen für einen Pavillon. Dies wurde schon in vergangenen Bewertungen bemängelt, jedoch immer noch nicht geändert. Die angepriesene Terrasse erinnerte eher an einen Pausenhof, nicht wirklich Sitzgelegenheiten außer Stein. Das WLAN hat überwiegend nicht funktioniert. Am Bett fehlen Steckdosen. Handy musste in der Küche geladen werden.

Niet voor herhaling vatbaar, hopelijk wordt hiervan geleerd.

Dat er kookgelegenheid met kookgerei was en een koelkast. Een vriendin mocht zonder kosten een nacht verblijven, ze moest wel zelf voor beddengoed zorgen.

-Allereerst, de sleutel was in een kluisje, alleen zat de buitendeur sleutel er niet bij. Gevolg: wachten totdat iemand het gebouw in of uitgaat. Echt onhandig! -Ten tweede, je probeert te bellen, geen gehoor. Na veel telefoontjes gehoor, persoon kan geen Engels, echt vermoeiend allemaal. -Ten derde: wc-rol was zo goed als op, een vriendin heeft een rol voor me meegenomen. Ooit van bleek gehoord? De wc pot was niet schoon. -Ten vierde: er lag een onderbroek in de kast, waarom? Ik heb het weggegooid! -Op het eerste gezicht lijkt alles schoon, maar ik vond het toch tegenvallen.

Die Kommunikation ist schlecht bzw. Rückmeldungen bei Anfragen gibt es nicht, egal ob man über den Chat von Booking.com oder über die Mobilbox kommuniziert. Wegen der Lage an einer sehr befahrenen Straße ist es sehr laut, wer einen leichten Schlaf hat bekommt hier kein Auge zu. Die Sauberkeit des Badezimmers war mäßig.
