retro apartment in a great location

The accommodation is in a very good location. It is a few minutes' walk from the train, subway, and bus stations, and the port is also within easy walking distance. There are many small restaurants nearby, including some inexpensive ones, as well as a grocery store. Although the neighborhood is bustling, the apartment is quiet.

The apartment's furnishings are quite old (the photos must have been taken a long time ago). The mattress in the largest room is uncomfortable; we rolled into the middle from both sides. We were given 1.5 rolls of toilet paper for 8 people. The portable air conditioner is very loud at night, but without it, the room is very hot. The towel we were given smelled bad after only two uses.

A spacious unit with some old style character, close to train station.

A spacious unit with some old style character, in a reasonably convenient neighbourhood to the old port and cafes and playgrounds (and super close to the train station). Nice to have cooking / washing facilities.

Be aware there were a few flights of stairs to carry suitcases up to access the apartment. Beds weren’t the most comfortable.

We would certainly stay again knowing it’s all we require for a good trip

Location and ample space. Comfortable beds, well stocked for food preparation. Fridge and oven are a good pair. Coffee machine and complimentary coffee very welcome. Overall well equipped.

Dishwasher washer cleans well but is missing some plate supports reducing capacity.

good value for money

the apartment is huge with four beds which is very suitable for my family. it’s very comfortable with good amenities. walkable distance to the metro station. the staff is very responsive - all my queries were responded quickly.

there’s no lift so it’s abit inconvenient for us since we’ve a lot of luggages with us. the apartment is located in an old building - it might look abit dodgy if you arrive late at night. the instructions to get the key is abit complicated so it took us a while to figure it out.

The apartment is very accessible. It's near the train station, and most attractions are within walking distance.

The corridors weren't what I expected, which can be scary if you are checking in at night. Finding the key was a bit of a treasure hunt as we looked on the wrong floor. I got confused by the statement, "The flat is on the 2nd and last floor." The unit has only one water closet, which can be inconvenient for a bigger group.

The apartment was spacious. It was close to the train and metro station. But outside of the apartment we did not feel safe. There were not good restaurants in the area, Positive The hosts provided a list of locations to see/visit. The list also included means of transportation to get there,

There were many homeless people in the area. It was also inconvenient/challenge for senior women to climb the to the 3rd floor. (second floor in Europe)

Flat spacious and had everything we needed. 10-15 minute walk to le vieux port and le Panier districts and close to Gare St Charles which made trips to Cassis and Aix en Provence easy too

Great apartment, but be aware of outside security deposit

Very nice, spacious apartment right next to the train station. One of the only places we stayed that had AC.

I wouldn’t have booked it if I had noticed that they request a very large security deposit outside of booking.com (found the info hidden in the COVID policy section afterwards), but we didn’t end up processing it and the stay was great.

Overall our stay was excellent. The host was very helpful and accomodating.

I liked the apartment, It was big enough for 8 people. It was also near the metro so you won't have difficulty going around the city. There were also air-conditioning to the rooms so we slept better since it was so hot during the summer.

There are no elevators so it will be a bit difficult going to the stairs if you have a big luggage, but since we only have the small ones, it was okay with us + it's just on the 2nd floor.

the persons who welcomed us was very nice.

when we entered the room was quite clean but the next day we were bitten by bed Bugs!!! At fir we thought it might be a mosquito bites but the next following days we were sure it was a bed bugs! After a week of stay there we are all suffering from the bed bugs bites that we have all over our body and it’s been stressful since then because we can’t even go out because the bites are visible and very itchy! haven’t been resting after a week because it’s very itchy and got very worried that we might carry it. we got refunded of the amount of 200€ but that doesn’t seem fair because we also have to see a doctor for the itchy skin and buy products that will eliminate the bugs!

The location is excellent and highly central to the city. The building is very secure and nice. All amenities within the property were good and up to standard. Would highly recommend it!

The apartment was furnished with everything you could possibly need and even some nice extras like laundry soap, tea and cooking oils. The rooms were comfortable and the air conditioning was so nice on the hot summer days. We had a wonderful stay.

Very spacious and clean apartment. Great location, close to the port. Nicely decorated, with a personal touch. Very well equipped, all facilities you might need. And, I must add, although not apartment related, the day we spent in Les Calanques National Park was fantastic, the place is unique!

L'emplacement est idéal, proche gare et vieux port. Très calme, il n'y a pas de bruit en soirée. Il dispose de tout le confort nécessaire, sans trop. C'est fonctionnel et bien organisé.

Gute Lage, Wohnkomfort hat Luft nach oben

Die Lage nur wenige Meter neben dem Bahnhof macht es einfach, die umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten per Zug zur erreichen. Gleichzeitig ist man schnell am Hafen und im Zentrum. Das Wohnzimmer ist schön eingerichtet und der Check-In war sehr einfach und hat problemlos funktioniert.

Das Hauptbadezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Fugen in der Dusche sind teilweise modrig. Schlimmer sind aber die Betten, die sehr schmal und zudem noch sehr durchgelegen und unbequem sind.
