It was so humid in the staircase, in the room and in the bathroom. It smelled musty all over the place and the sheets didn't seem to have dried.

Pretty perfect, thanks to a lovely apartment in a great location.

The property was in a perfect location and was set up lovely for a couple! A double bed, TV and plenty of amenities provided for cooking and dining. The WhatsApp number we were provided also added to our stay, really excellent customer service to help iron out any quarries or inconveniences with the property.

There were very few big issues with the property. Perhaps the loiters outside, but despite being fairly intimidating they were very polite and moved out the way if blocking the door apologising as they do so. We had a couple of small inconveniences upon arrival but these were all sorted swiftly thanks to the WhatsApp number we were provided, a real excellent costumer service.

Perfect place for a stay in Marseille!

We slept in a really nice studio, lovely decorated and everything was easy to use/find.

The only thing was that the Wi-Fi didn’t work.

The apartment was clean with the said equipment.

1. We had no WiFi the entire stay. I asked from the host, and nothing was ever done. 2. Also the linen smelt of dampness, both the towels and sleeping linen. We noticed they air dry all their linen and covers inside, so outside the room (the stairs areas and corridors) all smell moist and mouldy. Wasn’t a nice smell. 3. Outside the doors to the building, there were men always sitting and smoking, and they don’t even move when we need to access the door, they just squeeze to the side. would be nice to request them to vacate this place, as it’s not the most welcoming image.

The room was fine and clean. Very centrally located. Everything is easy to reach on foot.

Neighbourhood is very vivid and tends to be loud. Depending on the floor it can get very noisy.

Good room and localization!

The localization is very good, some minutes walking to the Vieux Port. The room was totally clean, renovated and with air conditioning (rare in the city). And the staff were nice.

The room was in the third floor without elevator (is common in Europe)

It was soooo central. All of downtown Marseille was at our fingertips! The kitchenette was also really helpful

Location was fantastic; easy and helpful instructions from our hosts; great to have a kitchenette; relatively quiet at night; overall a nice stay.

Sometimes the upstairs neighbours woke us at night as there mustn’t be the greatest insulation between floors. They weren’t being purposefully noisy, but we could hear them moving about. I had ear plugs which I used two nights out of seven, so overall not an issue.

The apartment is great for the money, it is well- equipped and the location is pretty good. It is very close to the port and about 10 mins from the station. Great place for a short visit.

Even though the location is good, the surrounding area looked a bit scatchy. The streets were very dirty and usually there were men sitting at the front door, and it is a bit hard to go inside.

Really good location and very comfortable room - it was nice to have a thick bed for a change. Appreciated the balcony for some fresh air.

The Wi-Fi was down for the duration of my stay. To give the host credit, they did try and organise repair towards the end, however it was still down for the whole four-night stay.

The location as it was close to the port as well as within a walking distance to the railway station. Besides I really liked the simple but modern style/equipment of the flat.

The surrounding streets are full of trash in the evenings. They’re cleaned over the night, yet the next evening it’s the same. I also didn’t like that all conversation with the landlord was in French only. Although I’ve asked if it was possible to communicate in English as I can’t speak French. The answer was that any of the following messages were kept in French. Google Translate definitely saved me! Besides, even though TV including different channels and wi-fi are promoted,none of these were working when we arrived. None of the channels were on unless you regirested yourself (didn’t even try) and the only available language was French, while the TV was using Russian according to the writing, I guess. I’d also like to mention that this big nice building in the picture is not the building where the flat is and therefore I believe this is a misleading picture.

Interesting....

It's a 10 minute walk to the port, but the area the apartment is in, isn't the best. 2-3 night stay with minimal luggage is ideal. Airlock doors on entry, so it's secure.

It's tiny. There is no storage space for your clothes, ie no wardrobe, no drawers, the only mirror is above the bathroom sink. No shelves in the bathroom to even put your toothpaste or toothbrush on. The area is pretty bad too, at night, we had to climb over people sitting on the front step to the building! I don't know when or where the cover photo of the building was taken but it looks nothing like that.

COMPLETE DISGRACE !!!!

The entire biulding is a truly disgrace. It was a fake advertisement. They took a picture of the front door biulding that has a impressive good look and use as if it were their place.

Bad smell, dangerous stairs, sump smell bathroom, once open the windows you only see trash....

The perfect location, the decoration of the flat and the roof terrace

For an elderly couple the 5th floor without elevator was rather sportif! We missed comfortable seating; there was no couch and the chairs were uncomfortable. Best place was the stairs leading to the terrace.

communication with the host is very bad, as there’s just no one to talk to if you need help. you only have access to an “emergency” phone number but no one answers. Late response by email as well. besides that, the sheets don’t smell very well, as they are dried indoors.

Location is great, house is nice, but....

Almost at the end of our stay at LaFrenchCasa we have received a massage, stating that we need to do the dishes. This made us feel very uncomfortable, as it meant that the glasses we have used were not cleaned by a professional. They were cleaned by the previous client. I hope they were cleaned properly, but I do not believe they were. I was very unhappy about this.

Lovely apartment, exactly what it says on the tin. Small but perfect for 2 people. Right beside a very dodgy street so be careful at night time. Apartment was rather noisy at night and very early morning.

The location is really great, just in the center of all attractions I mean close to all museums, restaurants and the old Marseille port itself.

At night time the area is bit dodgy but it is not landlord's fault. Police is everywhere so not dangerous as it looks like.
