Sunny Studio Vieux Port

Het appartement ligt zeer centraal bij de Oude Haven van Marseille. Het is een klein maar erg leuk en slim ingericht appartement in een leuke straat. De winkels zijn allemaal erg dichtbij en je zit super centraal. Parkeergarage op loopafstand.

Het was erg heet in Marseille en het appartement heeft geen airco en daardoor was het erg warm op de kamer. Er was wel een kleine ventilator maar die bracht niet veel verkoeling.

The location is excellent, and the renovated bathroom was a nice touch. The apartment was generally clean, and these were definitely the highlights of the stay.

Unfortunately, I had a very frustrating experience on arrival. I couldn't get the lock to work and was locked out for about 15 minutes late at night. Although the issue was fixed / didn't happen again, it unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the stay. It would also help to have some form of identifying sign or name on the studio door, as I found it difficult to locate at first despite the instructions provided. It was also extremely hot during my visit, and with no air conditioning, the small fan provided (also quite covered in dust) was simply not powerful enough to make the room comfortable. Sleeping was difficult because of the heat. In addition, the bed linen was very worn, with lots of pilling, which made it feel less clean than it actually was. Finally, there were a few small details that could be improved, such as replacing the old, rusty bin in the bathroom. They're minor issues individually, but together they affected the overall experience. Overall, the exceptional location and clean, renovated bathroom are definite positives, but the arrival issue, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, and worn furnishings made this a fairly average stay.
