The openness of the lounge and kitchen was great so nobody was missing out. The bedrooms were spacious and having a bathroom each was a bonus.
Hot water seems to be an issue as we couldn’t all have a shower in the morning and sometimes the water pressure at night would be so low and there would be no hot water
The TV could also be bigger for the size of the room

The location in the Yorkshire Dales is incredible and though we didn’t meet our host, she was very pleasant and chatty on the phone. We’ve stayed at Grisedale Coach House before, so we were glad to be back. The cottage was warm in cold and wet weather, so was very welcome. When it snowed our hosts came out to clear the snow and
put grit both front and back of the house, which was very considerate. There were good cooking facilities and plenty of crockery, which we liked because the weather meant we stayed in more than we might normally have done. Wi-Fi was available and worked well.
It did feel that the house had been stripped of a lot of material, such as maps of the area (we were in great walking country) and some local information, other than tourist leaflets, would have been very useful for our stay. This may have been due to COVID or the rise in the cost of running the property, but we all felt that some parts of the cottage were starting to look a bit tired inside. The bedding was clean and the house in general was very tidy, but the pillows and quilts were rather old and there could have been more attention to providing a more comfortable lounge area. The lack of any cushions meant we had to use bed pillows to make the chairs more comfortable and we had to use upturned waste bins as side tables for our cups of tea.

A lovely cottage, very comfortable, in a great location and with good facilities.
Perhaps a greater variety of cooking utensils might have been helpful.

Beautiful location with plenty of good walks from the door; we didn't need to use the car for the weekend!
There are lots of single beds and plenty of bathrooms to accommodate a group of friends. It is warm and spacious.
There is a large kitchen with two fridges and a freezer. There is working oven and judging from previous reviews the hob has been replaced.
The pans and bedding are ready for replacement.
