HI Brussels Generation Europe Hostel

For me it was very good and price was OK. The room (4 bed dorm) was very clean, easy to access with lift and the instructions to the breafast room and to check out super clear. The place felt very safe. Loved the yard area where people met and chat, had a drink from their pub. In the same way there was another very nice little outdoor area for the morning breakfast where it was easy to talk to other patrons while trying the delicious Sirop de Liège.

I liked the place. The surrounding area is a bit noisy (sort of car chasing by young people out through the car roof and screaming - celebrating?) and not the cleanest (but not as bad as some areas in Brussels you will notice if you walk around Gare du Midi...). The TV in the hall stopped receiving signal after half-time of the UK-Ghana world cup match- after asking at the reception but gave up like other travellers since noone was available or able to sort it out. Meat eaters have more options (various hams) than just boiled eggs and cheese.
