A lovely stay in Split

Beautifully clean apartment in the old town, the outdoor area was lovely to relax. Our host was easy to contact and made our stay stress free.

It should have been better

The location in the Old Town was fantastic with easy access for coming and going. The room was small but functional and the beds were comfortable enough. The aircon worked really well. The host was late meeting us but the housekeeper lives on site and was able to let us in with limited English but a smile. We had some challenges with the experience and knowledge of our host representative that negatively affected our stay, but without those, this accommodation could represent good value for money. for info, the nearby Kragiceva poljana paid parking is €1/hr from 7am to 7pm, but if you there for the weekend, it is free from 2pm on Sat. The app works well for payment in advance or extensions.

We had no hot water on arrival and the excuses from the host went from used up by others, then fuse gone but now repaired to eventually the neighbours turned it off. On the final morning we had a sewerage smell coming through our drains. There is no problem with Wi-fi, but our host gave us the wrong password. We finally found a card in the room with the correct password, but our host kept telling us that everyone else was connecting fine with the one she had given us.

Toiletries in the bathroom 🤨 soap on the wall not able to use too old and pump not working no shower gel just champions and conditioner tried to get the lady to understand but she just could not enough she spoke English I got the pictures that I have taken Also stairs extremely dangerous Bed sheets with holes and shower floor slippery and dangerous

Location was ideal particularly getting to the centre. Room was clean when we arrived. Had use of Kettle, iron etc. Good air conditioing particularly in the warm weather

Can get a little noisy in the early hours with fellow travelers staying nearby but not a lot you can do in a popular location Not a dislike but check in was a little confusing as it was difficult to know how to enter the property. Zelinka was very helpful in helping us get settled. Maybe meeting at property would have been a bit more assuring but we got in in the end.

Exceeded my expectations

The location was great, a walking distance to all the attractions and the central station. Zrinka from Villa Erede was very friendly and helpful, She was always in touch and made sure that the check in and out were so easy. The room was clean and the bed was big and comfortable. I'm a light sleeper so I really appreciated how quite and dark you can make the room at night. I also appreciated that it includes a good air condition, a fridge, an iron and what you need to make tea. I would happily stay there again.

More of a suggestion than a critic: I think It would be good to have a small table in the room, that you can use for eating. Maybe a foldable one to fit the space. There's a shared space to sit outside the room but it's not always free/applicable.

Perfect apartment in Split

Very cute, clean and had all the amenities we needed in an amazing location. The apartment felt more spacious than it looked in the pictures and the balcony was perfect for a drink in the evening. No problems at all with the air conditioning, it kept us cool through 30 degree+ days. Really great communication from Zrinka, she made us feel welcomed and comfortable and replied to all messages promptly :) would definitely stay again!

Incredible location. Very simple and easy walk to the old town and sea front. Lovely shared balcony.as young travellers, we felt very safe during our stay.

Highly recommend staying here if you are in Split!

The property looked just like the photos, and the location was amazing! It’s right in the heart of Split’s Old Town, super close to restaurants, shops, and the Riva promenade. Even though it’s in a busy area, it was nice and quiet at night. The room and bathroom were really clean, and we loved having a kettle with coffee and tea. There was also a TV, which was a nice bonus. Zrinka, the property manager, was great—super easy to communicate with and quick to reply. She even let us store our bags after check-out so we could explore a bit more before heading to the airport. Overall, we had an awesome stay and would definitely come back!

The mattress on the bed was a bit thinner than we’re used to, which made it slightly less comfortable—but that may just come down to personal preference. That said, we really enjoyed our stay overall!

Hidden Gem!

I feel like this was such a hidden gem, I would recommend to anyone booking a stay in Split. Location alone makes it exceptional, right where you need to be and minimal effort required to get anywhere- a perfect base to explore the city from. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the apartment Piccola Venezja had a private balcony which was a lovely place to sit in the evenings and even have a few meals. If you struggle with stairs/steps I wouldn’t recommend because you have to get up 3 (small) flights to get to the apartment but that didn’t bother us. If we ever return to Split this will be our go to accommodation. Another bonus was Zrinka who gave us very efficient and clear communication and was on hand to help us with any queries during our stay. We also celebrated our wedding anniversary in Split and the host kindly made this very special for us. Thank you to all x

A couple of days in Split

The apartment is in an old but renovated stone house in the heart of Varoš (old town), just 5 minutes away from the Diocletian Palace. It can be accessed by foot only, but a public parking is also very close, also some 5 minutes from the apartment. Our host from the agency that rents the apartments was very friendly with a lot of useful recommendations for Split and the surroundings.

The wi-fi in the lower apartment was not working. The main router is in the upper apartment, but the old stone walls are blocking the signal. The lower apartment has a wireless access point, but it lost connection with the main router. They tried to fix it, but without success during our stay. So a working internet connection is the only thing we missed during our stay. I hope they managed to fix it after we left.

A great three night trip, accommodation was clean, comfortable and well located. Great value.

Easy arrival and check-in, met by the friendly and helpful host/manager. Apartments very clean. Everything worked as advertised. Location was excellent, short walking distance to most things but on a quiet residential street. Overall great value and would stay again.

Not much negative. Although it was quiet there was a church nearby which rang it's bells early morning even on a Friday so may disturb if you wanted to sleep late. The terraces on the apartments downstairs and first floor were not completely private as they were part of a shared courtyard where the lady who cleaned the apartments lived opposite (maybe she was the owner?) so we felt as if we were being monitored a bit however, she didn't say anything so it was fine.

The location of the property is perfect as it’s close to all the attractions. The property it self was clean, comfortable and in a lovely neighbourhood. Thank you so much to the host Toma. He was very helpful from the start and end of the trip and gave me many information to help me plan an itinerary. I was able to check in early and Toma was helpful when i needed to book a late check out last minute. I would definitely stay here again!

The fact we had to pay in cash which meant it cost us more than the advertised cost. Cost of room when booking was 271 pounds but as we had to pay in cash the actual amount worked out to be 291, 20 pounds more than quoted.

Great place to stay

The location of the accommodation is great, just in the middle of everything. You can walk to most of the main spots in few minutes (5-10). Despite the central location, the area is quiet so you will have peaceful nights.

The hot water was an issue as it was not enough for 2 showers in a row. Apart from that, everything was lovely!
