Steep spiral staircase challenging for anyone old or infirm but part of the farm's character.

We enjoyed the whole ambience of this special place. It has such a wonderful history which the lovely owner was more than happy to share with us. There were many old family photos and original heritage items. The dinner and service was very good and the breakfast was excellent with several different homemade jams and homemade apple juice. We also enjoyed the tranquil and pretty outside seating areas.

The charming hostess realized that my husband would have difficulty with the spiral staircase to our room in the tower and instead offered a family gite in the old stone barn which we were happy to accept. We opted to have dinner as well as breakfast and the food was delicious and plentiful. The dinner at 24 euros was very reasonably priced and the wine list surprisingly large and well priced. As this was during the heatwave in June we opted, together with the other guests, to have a cold meal. Breakfast was great with home made jams, delicious apple juice and yogourt from local farms, plus toast and pastries. There are games outside where children can play in complete safety, also barbeque facilities.

It was not easy to locate and there was nowhere else around to eat. However, the surrounding countryside is very beautifull. The auberge, although stunning with it`s stonework and round tower, does have a feel of having seen better days, a shame as it is beautiful.

Nice countryside location and old buildings

We didn’t like the shower inside the bedroom and the toilets opening onto sitting area. The very small kitchen area was very dark due to only one ceiling spot light. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were better.
