Unforgettable experience

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable — but what truly made it special was the stunning view. Whether in the morning or at sunset, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The instructions were clear, the communication was great, and the upgrade was a lovely surprise. Highly recommended — we’d love to come back!

A lovely, peaceful country manor

The location was lovely, an old house, slightly away from everything, with lovely wild grounds around it. There's a nice view of Mt Saint Michel from the front of the property. The room was small-ish, but comfortable. I loved that we had a huge window that could be opened to let in the fresh air and a view of the grounds. The bed was quite comfy and the shower was nice. We enjoyed having a restaurant on the property. We wanted a mellow place to stay before going on to Mt Saint Michel, and it fit the bill perfectly. We had a gorgeous afternoon there, and sitting on the patio with a glass of wine playing cards was a nice break from doing the tourism thing. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. The staff were all lovely and helpful.

The room could have used a bit of paint and a less wonky light fixture in the ceiling. It wasn't awful; it just needed a bit of a freshening up. Our room was above the bar, so it wasn't terribly quiet at night, but it wasn't a big deal as there wasn't any loud music or anything, just people chatting and having a good time.

A great French countryside experience

We enjoyed a lovely overnight visit. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The evening meal was generous in size and excellent quality. Breakfast provided a wonderful selection. We especially enjoyed the relaxed location and the view across the countryside to Mont St Michel.

Great location, great food. Old building very well refurbished and stylish.

We stayed in a sort of new small complex attached to hotel which was all right. It it showed spider webs in the shower, lots of rust on metal surfaces, clear need for upgrading. Would have been OK but we paid premium prices for a room definitely less worth. Next time I would negotiate other price, or room upgrade.

Beautiful and very peaceful hotel.

The hotel is just beautiful with a view on Mont St Michel. We went there in the evening and enjoyed the quiet walk and incredible sunset. We loved it!

The second bed was a sofa and was either set up wrongly or just very bad quality, you could feel the springs through the sort of matress.

The location and view from this property of the Mont St Michel was exceptional. The sunset was beautiful. The surrounding area beautiful and peaceful. The restaurant was very good and the service fab. Parking was available and free. Would recommend

We would have liked a slightly bigger room but as only staying for one night before visiting the Mont is was comfortable and the facilities were good as we didnt have to worry about going out to find a restaurant after a day of travelling. The staff were very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know without asking.

Disappointing

I asked to change room as the one given upon check in was poor, old and tiny. The bed frame was so shabby it looked like it was a recycled one. The staff listened to my complain and was solution oriented.

The state of the room doesn’t match the price asked for it. Was heard and put into an upgraded room which by all means was only decent, by the size and furniture.

This is an excellent hotel with lovely staff. Great work!

This hotel is excellent. It is situated in the country very close to the estuary and there are amazing views of Mont St Michel from the garden and dining room. Well situated for the motorway if you are travelling long distance. Good location for local walks and cycling. Dinner was very good with a superb rack of lamb, steak etc and nice wine. Service was very good at all times. The double room was quite small but otherwise fine and had a good modern bathroom. Nice outdoor terrace.

One or two areas of the hotel might benefit from an upgrade in due course but this didn't detract from our enjoyment.
