Lovely host. Excellent location.

Perhaps a decorative update, although charming as is.

Lovely room in a beautiful building. We loved the architectural detail and the arty vibe. Loads of art on the walls gave a curated feel to the vintage artefacts and furniture..the double room with balcony is well appointed and comfortable. The balcony is a real bonus and looks out over the park. There is lovely vintage furniture on the balcony too. Our overnight stay was great and we wished we could have stayed longer. Sophie, the host is friendly and had made sure that everything was spotless and ready for us even though this was a last minute booking. We liked that she was available to help but happy for us to stay without too much contact as overbearing contact is what usually puts us off staying in a smaller place instead of a hotel. We liked the nice touches like water in the room and a cafetiere for coffee and a summer weight duvet. Bed is comfy, bathroom has a great shower and we enjoyed our stay.

There was nothing we disliked although it might be considered expensive at full nightly rate (we got discounts from booking.com) as breakfast is not included. It is however good value for a night in Keswick in the height of Summer holidays.

Sophie the owner, very pleasant and welcoming. Accommodation ideal location and for being able to walk everywhere. Lovely balcony to be able to sit and read and enjoy view over the park. lovely decorated room and well equipped

Nice that tea and coffee was supplied on day one, but not replenished until 3 days in. Would have liked coffee to be replenished more regularly. Wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues as some tricky steps to get up to the room and open door at same time

Lovely host great location, pay to park nearby was great . Lovely warm room

Bathroom mat smelt of urine , shower head was filthy black , lots of dust and cobwebs , beds very low to ground not very comfortable
