A clean hotel in the heart of lincoln near to restaurants and bars

Location great in heart of city. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly.

Comfortable, Friendly, and Ideally Located

We had a really lovely stay. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel had a warm, inviting feel. It was also perfectly placed for exploring Lincoln, which made our visit even more enjoyable.

The only small drawback was the soundproofing of the room doors. Noise from the opposite hall door carried quite easily, which could be a little disruptive at times. That said, noisy guests can’t always be helped, and it didn’t take away from an otherwise very pleasant stay.

Lovely looking hotel, the room and bathroom were modern and clean.

Bed was a little tired, I could feel the springs. And my room was in the carpark at ground level so I had to keep the blackout blinds closed for privacy.

Premium room disappointed

Its position

Unfriendly reception staff with a dated entrance. Paper thin walls in our room (Tennyson) meant we had to listen to noisy neighbours until 6am and got zero sleep. We told the hotel but they didn’t think to compensate us in a small way ( a complimentary drink would have been a nice gesture). Shower didn’t work and toilet chipped.

The Tritton Suite is fantastic with a wonderful view of the Cathedral and a comfortable sitting area.

We would stay there everytime we visit Lincoln, no decision so stop searching for something better.

Staff was unbelievably. It seemed like some of them were there 24/7 and did whatever you needed. Service was fantastic and dinner and wine at their property were outstanding. Breakfast is free and it has everything you coulld ever want. We are going back!!!

Unfortunately we could not check in til 3 so we had to store our luggage, but no problem there. Again there is not one European hotel that has ceiling fans, not that we needed it in Dec. Carpeting on the stair cases could be updated. Gives you a bad impression when you first walk in. The biggest reason its a bad look is because there is no elevator. The hotel is small and staff is willinjg to help, but still you wanted an honest evaluation from a professional traveler.

Best hotel experience ever.

Me and my partner stopped in the Tritton Suite as an early Christmas present to ourselves. From checking in to checking out it was the most wonderful stay in an hotel we have ever had. The staff were the best, the suite was the cleanest most comfortable you could get it, everything was perfect. We haven't stopped talking about it since we got home yesterday and planning our next visit already to the Castle hotel. Thank you for making our stay so special to us and the rest of Lincoln it's self,your the best and we are very happy.

Perfect location in an iconic city.

Right in the heart of Lincoln. overlooking the castle walls and amongst all the characterful pubs, shops and quaint streets of the city. A short walk from the cathedral too. A building full of history and character. beautifully converted into a stylish and very comfortable hotel. Great breakfast! Easy car parking directly opposite the hotel.

Could have done better

The location was perfect. The rooms were nice enough, but have stayed in better for less money. Last on reception was very welcoming.

We were asked very politely if we could take an earlier breakfast than we wanted because it would be busy at 9.30. We agreed to this and after studying the menu the next day, a few of us chose the smoked salmon... only to be told that they had ran out! This was frustrating having got up earlier than we wanted and to not have the full selection available to us. We were told it was because of the race that suppliers couldn't get through, but they had a year's notice of this as it is an annual event. They could have walked to a local shop if necessary.

A lovely base for a birthday celebration

Not too big, a good size for a family celebration with a variety of accommodations to suit different family set ups.

The coffee at breakfast was very bitter. Staff seemed to be stretched so service at the bar and reception wasn’t the quickest

Great stay, great value, great location and great disabled facilities. Would stay again!

Great location, walkable to all major attractions. Very good breakfast (full English, continental, cereal and juices). Comfortable room and beds with good disabled facilities, heater and quality furnishings. Parking right outside the room (if available on first come basis). A special mention for Victoria (reception) who was very helpful and had a 'nothing was too much trouble' approach. Also, the breakfast waitress was great but unfortunately we didn't get her name. I am disabled (wheelchair) and found this room very good with just enough room for a wheelchair, large walk-in-shower (more like a wet room) and good grab rail and shower seat facilities.

From a disabled perspective the arrangement of the bathroom could have been better thought out (e.g need to walk back and forth from shower, to sink, to shelf, to towel rack etc). Some heavy walking noise from from accommodation above (walking/stomping across room above). Although the room was generally well serviced, we did find rather a lot of long, black hairs on one of the bed sheets, randomly around the room and in the bathroom stuck to a shelving unit. Also the two dressing table drinking glasses hadn't been cleaned.

Excellent and would definitely stay again if in Lincoln

The hotel was everything we expected and more. I like a modern cosy comfortable room, we would normally not want to spend much time in our room however I didn’t want to leave the room. The bed was really comfy the breakfast we hot and nice.

My only issue was with the temperature in the room it was very hot there was a air conditioning unit which helped a little but we didn’t want this on when trying to sleep

Everything!!! The beautiful classic decor, the historic buildings & picturesque location, the comfort, cleanliness, homeliness, perfect perfect in every way! Restaurants and bars, amenities nearby, the quietness and laying in bed listening to the Cathedral bells was wonderful! We will return!

Great location but sadly struggled to sleep due to noise and heat.

Bedroom like a furnace. No air conditioning. Noisy early in the morning due to deliveries vans. Got bitten 5 times on my leg during the night. Mouldy shower head.
