Fantastic stay, we will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Ballycannon Lodge. Mary was incredibly kind and even allowed us to check in early so we could get ready for a wedding. The rooms were fabulous, with a gorgeous interior that made everything feel extra special. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast at their nearby restaurant the following morning. The entire experience was fantastic. Mary was so helpful and went above and beyond for us in every way possible. She truly is an exceptional host. We highly recommend Ballycannon Lodge and would definitely stay again!!

Relaxing, beautiful country stay!

We booked because it was convenient to relatives nearby and recommended by a cousin. What a beautiful accommodation, with an absolutely lovely host! Mary was very friendly and when we would see her, she would always check to see if we needed anything.The room was super clean and very spacious and the beds were so comfortable! The location is right on a main road but in a quiet country area, so you don’t get a noisy main road feel. So you have quiet countryside with easy accessibility to other regions. The garden center next door also houses the restaurant that offers a delicious breakfast for reasonable price. You can’t go wrong if you book this accommodation!

Spacious, very comfortable stay

Lodge is in a small village called Croagh near the garden centre. Room is spacious with a lounge seating area and a desk and chair. Lovely garden views. Super quiet. Have dinner before you arrive else you will have to travel (about 10 mins) into Adare village where there is a well stocked Centra supermarket and eating options. Carpeted room gave a cosy feeling to stay. Mary was only too pleased to provide some fresh milk and lovely spring water to drink, crockery and cutlery to use. Breakfast can be had in the garden centre (at your cost). It is worth a look around there too, lovely plants and gifts.

Nothing really, need to drive to get evening meal. We had, had a big lunch so got cheese and bread from the supermarket and made a sandwich.

The perfect location

My partner and I stayed here for a night for a wedding in Adare and we were thrilled with the experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the room was perfect, spotless, cosy and the bed was very comfy. All absolutely exceeded our expectations and we’d highly recommend.

Beautiful location, in a garden center! The cafe was lovely, staff courteous and friendly.

A little tricky to find, but that was partly us and driving on the 'other' side of the road. Just look for the garden center!

Beautiful location, gorgeous accommodation and exceptional hosts

Beautiful location, next to D&M Garden centre in Criagh, just a few miles from Adare. Lodge itself is gorgeous, spotlessly clean. Mary is a lovely lady, we felt right at home. We stayed two nights, would loved to have stayed 5. We rate Ballycannon Lodge a 20/10.

Definitely staying again

We loved the location. Only a few minutes from adare. Fantastic value for money the room was pristine, we shuffled the beds closer together to accommodate the kids and there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere. So comfortable and safe. The family running it are lovely.

Had a great stay here at ballycannon, exceeded my expectations. Room was beautiful, modern, spacious with very comfortable beds. The hostess was very welcoming and helpful. A beautiful family run business with also a garden centre, gift shop and cafe onsite - got breafast in cafe in the morning and it was lovely. 10 mins drive from adare where I went to explore for the evening and dinner. Beautifully kept grounds encircle the property, The planting around the lodge was really fabulous, stunning gardens and flowers in bloom all around. Enjoyed walking round the grounds very much.

Amazing stay

Familiar B&B with a beautiful setting, large and clean rooms and super comfortable beds. The breakfast was also amazing, with scones, pancakes, eggs and açaí! Thank you very much to the owner Mary that was so nice and for always taking care of us!

Wonderfully relaxing, lovely welcome and went above all expectations.

Mary is a wonderful hard working lady and this shows throughout.

This is not reflective on the Lodge or staff but the entrance was slightly confusing due to the road layout. Perfect signage for the cafe and garden centre but nothing to indicate the Lodge entrance.

Well appointed inn, with friendly owners and it's close to Adare amenities

We had a large room (3 beds) that was very quiet. The husband and wife owners were real pleasure to deal with and they made sure we had everything needed. The bathroom was large and the breakfast facility was right next door. It's a 5-7 min drive to Adare for dinner/pub so that was very convenient.

Great rooms - very clean and comfortable with lovely staff

Very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This was our favourite night during our travels around Ireland.

It is beside a busy road. We ate before we arrived as we were not sure if there was much nearby. There is a local pub and the garden centre next door serves food.

Dispite negatives comments the overall stay was good and would recommend

Close proximity to Adare. Relaxed attitude of host. Size of bedroom. Big comfortable bed. Good breakfast at adjacent garden centre (extra cost).

Central extraction system for bathroom didn’t seem to be working. Squeaky floorboards specially during night time visit to wc. Morning droning sound of gardener strimming, should plan his route so that he does near the b&b later morning.

Beautiful, comfortable and spacious accommodation with lovely host!

This was probably the best accommodation of our trip. Ballycannon Lodge and its adjoining cafe were excellent. It was so good to have a large, spacious and comfortable room to relax and spread out in, and the bed was really comfortable. The cafe next door has great breakfasts from 8am and other meals up to 5pm - delicious food! Mary, the host, was warm and welcoming.

Everything was great! The nearby pubs didn’t do food, so it would’ve been a 12 min drive into Adare if we’d been eating later, but were happy to have an early meal at the cafe next door instead.

Exceeded expectations and great value

A warm welcome at this family run lodge. Extremely spacious and clean room. The lady of the house was so kind offering my son a big box of toys and lego to play with. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning at the cafe in the neighbouring garden centre owned by the family. The stay was such good value for money for our family and I'm very happy to recommend it.

The location is near to a road so you can hear traffic but it didn't matter to us, we had a terrific sleep after a busy day out and a gorgeous meal in Adare only 5 mins up the road by car.
