Fine, but a bit expensive for the room

Room had silverfish and spiders in the bathroom. Alarms kept going off multiple times throughout our stay, including one that abruptly woke us up at 5AM.

Excellent stay at Lymerick City Hotel

We spent the weekend at the Limerick City Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The facilities were excellent, and the location couldn't be better. The service at the hotel’s bar and restaurant was outstanding, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be returning! 100% recommended!

Mediocre at best

Location. Convenient for where we were visiting

Bar closed at 22:30 This is a hotel. Twin room booked,beds were very small. A good few lights in the room didn't work . Shower wasn't the hottest. Only one elevator working . Food in the bar was very average. Noisy after going to bed . Family on floor above us having big argument for about an hour.

Really enjoyable. Would be happy to stay there again.

Spacious, well appointed room with a wonderful view. Clean, comfortable accommodation in a very good location. Shower head was over the bath but was easily regulated and worked well. Would recommend the pancakes - with blueberries and mascarpone- for breakfast. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. All in all, I can heartily recommend this hotel.

Can’t think of any significant issue that would warrant complaint.

Not very pleasant and very odd

It was very dated and grubby. I do understand it is doing so much needed renovations but still. The over all feel was odd as it felt like the first and second floor had been let out and lots of comings and goings.

Beds really comfortable but room lacked ‘welcoming warmth’ as we thought bland & soul less as it needed ‘soft comfort’ touches such as a picture on the wall.

We should have been told that the hotel was being used for emergency housing. Unfair to expect paying guests to have to be exposed to this, without being warned. Of course everyone is entitled to a warm bed

Had all I wanted - would be a great hotel on a budget for the Ryder Cup 2027

The location was great, overlooking river Shannon, 5minute walk to city center but away from busyness. Close to public transport. Had dinner and breakfast and both 'hit the mark', and offered great value

The pillows were too 'hard' for me. 4 pillows all the same, could have offered a variety

Good value, good location.

Staff were extremely friendly and provided good information about what to see. The location on the river was ideal close to the city centre. Parking available right near the hotel. Room was spacious but not well lit. Restaurant service was average.

Service in the restaurant was passable. No water provided, no salt or pepper on the table, had to ask for it. Didn’t get asked if we wanted more drinks once our food arrived.

Bargain and does the job

Great price rooms are basic but modern and clean breakfast was an additional 12 euro each but well worth it Parking also. Not included but at 11 euro for 24 hours was fine

Good location, a few things to improve

Great location, 10 minutes walk from the station. Good sized room.

Lack of air conditioning, it gets warm even with the windows open during summer. Toiletries are quite basic (no conditioner, no face soap). Guests are noisy when they come back late at night to their room but not much the hotel can do about it.

Fabulous Hotel!

Great location and the restaurant, bar and reception areas was beautifully furnished. The plentiful staff were very kind and professional. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Had the full Irish breakast which was outstanding :-) If I visit Limerick again I will only stay here!!

No dislikes whatsoever - only disappointment was I only stayed two nights!

Nice decor, friendly staff, spacious clean room.

No air conditioning in room. Room was hot even when radiator turned off. Lots of road noise as busy street in a city so it was hard to sleep with window open. Even a small fan in the wardrobe would be a help.
