Cold, cramped and dirty

Breakfast room cold and cramped, because we were the only people staying on 1st night, choice was very limited, room was cold and dark. your tea went cold very quickly. Trying to get a top up of fresh hot tea and more toast proving difficult, only one member of staff on shift,

B&B was very cluttered with ornaments, room was very dusty, struggled to get hot water from shower, flies in shower were disgusting. Returned from local walk , very cold and wet and could not get hot shower or heating on in room. Spent afternoon under covers in bed trying to get warm. No staff to ask about heating. Mentioned it next morning to be told its too expensive to turn on. Lady of the house was actually quite abrupt and rude. Breakfast room on day 2 was a little warmer but still very cramped. There is a family/sitting lounge, this was also very very cramped, ornaments and clutter everywhere and cold, you could not sit in there. A very disappointing stay, pity as we will be returning on a regular basis but definately not be staying here.

Interesting

It was a very eclectic style with walls and tables covered in different "art" pieces from all over the world. I had a bit of difficulty finding a place to put my suitcase. Breakfast was great . Location is within walking distance of Durty Nellys and Bunratty Castle

The room we had was very clean and spacious.

The only thing that I could say about is the breakfast time is very short, having said that we were able to get a cooked breakfast after the time they stated it would be served.

It was the perfect place to spend my last night in Ireland.

The B&B is a very short drive to Shannon Airport, so the location is perfect for travelers. The breakfast was just as they said it would be ... it truly was the best meal I had the entire time I was in Ireland (11 days).

Walking distance to Bunratty castle. We were able to have a few drinks and not have to worry about driving. Huge range of food at breakfast Lots of little extras like summerhouse and massage chairs

Best breakfast of all time!

The breakfast was AMAZING. Probably the best one we had on the whole 4 weeks we were away. So much freshly baked, beautiful things to devour, PLUS a hot breakfast!

It was a little cluttered with knick knacks, but that added to the quirky charm of the place.

Nice for a short stop before or after a flight.

Very convenient place to stay the night prior to flying from Shannon Airport; within walking distance to Bunratty Castle and the village. Proprietor allowed us to check in early. Breakfast was excellent, with wide variety of cold buffet items (fruits, yogurt, homemade breads and pastries, cold meats and salmon) and hot foods cooked to order.

Very little shelf space in bathroom; hallways were narrowed down with too many decorations and pieces of furniture.

Excellent example of Irish hospitality

This stay was a very warm welcome to Ireland. The hosts made me feel right at home and were always around to help out. They had everything you could dream of for breakfast and cooked a fresh plate just for you. The view was gorgeous and I got the sunrise every day. There are lots of places to hang out outside in the garden and a summer house to read/have tea. It’s perfect if you’re looking to connect to the natural beauty of the area! The room has everything you need like a fridge, fresh water daily, a coffee machine, tea pot, hair dryer, chargers, etc. My bed was made every day and the bathroom was kept stocked with fresh towels. Really super clean and cute decor. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the town which has historic pubs and shops, so if you don’t have a car keep that in mind! But the walk is lovely and you can pass by a local winery and see horses and sheep. Overall 10/10 stay and exceeded my expectations :)

Our hosts were just lovely and the cooked and variety available for breakfast a bonus. They also provided some great guidance on how to spend our ‘spare’ day sightseeing. We enjoyed the outdoor area for a few quiet drinks. The walk into Bunratty takes about 15 minutes.

Location was perfect for Shannon Airport. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. They catered very well for all their guests.

Our room was quite small and compact. We also had to chase a bug on the wall and a spider-like insect on the hallway mats. While I understand that such mats and cushions can be beautiful in a home, they are not suitable for a B&B from a hygiene perspective. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we didn’t get much sleep. We were a party of three and we could barely get around the room with eclectic decorations. The bathroom had no hangers or shelves for clothing. We arrived after 10:30 pm because we were traveling from a hospital in Drogheda. When we rang the two doorbells, the lady of the house was quite upset with us for arriving late. It would have been helpful if there had been a note on the front door with instructions. She told me she sent an email but because I was traveling I didn't receive it. We were told breakfast was between 8 and 9am and I felt rushed and stressed for our journey ahead.

Wonderful location! Dolores and her husband are the perfect hosts. They make you feel like family. The beds are comfortable and everything is so nice and clean. The breakfast is amazing! We enjoyed staying with them and will be sure to stay with them next time we visit the Bunratty area.

Comfortable with great breakfast!

Great location within walking distance to the amazing Bunratty castle. Property was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the biggest selection that lve ever seen. A lot of hard work and care has been put into the place, with every consideration made including access to fridge, microwave and airfryer.

The ensuite was tiny and the shower was hard to turn off, so it dripped all night.

We would stay again.

Breakfast was very good with an assortment of options - so much food available. You could see a lot of love and detail had gone into the property with beautiful grounds.

Bathroom was very small and would be difficult to access toilet for a larger person. We went to the later Bunratty Medieval dinner and had hoped to walk home. Although walkable in distance, it is very dark, no lighting or footpaths to walk along - no where to get out of the way if a vehicle was coming. We didn’t feel safe to walk so we ended up driving.
