Disappointing due to the restaurant experience.
The food in the Grill Room was less than mediocre. Amongst other disappointments the cheese was so processed it was terrible. I believe it came in cellophane wrappers. Further the service in the Aazure restaurant at breakfast was really poor. It took 25 minutes to receive two pots of tea and they were served cold. Further the poached eggs we order were cold and not to order and neither was the bacon. On replacement my plate was cold which made the food cold in a minute or two and my wife’s did not receive her bacon. That arrived well after she had finished eating the egg. Completely ridiculous. Finally, we saw two guests trip over the wheels that have been added to the bases of the umbrella’s. One elderly lady hurt her ankle badly. These are clearly a safety hazard.

Would definitely return!
Beautiful hotel with excellent service. The hotel is build on the hill which makes it very unique. Leopard bar is incredible for sundowners.
It is a 5-10 minutes drive out of camps bay, so it is not the most suitable if you like to be in the middle of things, however the hotel has an hourly shuttle to and from camps bay

Good service and great location. Hotel needs to be renovated though.
Location is very good, excellent food in the restaurant, nice equipment in the gym, fantastic views, excellent bar for sundowners.
Initially we got a very bad (luxury) room, with discolored and torn bed sheets, a broken bed with nails sticking out. Actually too many items to mention in the room were broken or worn out. This obviously can’t be with a room rate of 15.000 zar. Imo the management should not let guests stay in this particular room anymore before a massive renovation. After a complaint the staff quickly gave us a much nicer room/suite. Although this was a nice room, the matrass was not equal on each side (let’s say a 5cm height difference between left and right matress), which is quite awkward. Apart from that, the blinds are not blinding and let’s the sun light through in the morning, so that will wake you up at 06.30am…The overall condition of the hotel is just dated and needs renovation.

Pleasant stay
Lovely location with fantastic view of the sea and mountains but beware that the main road (and it’s a busy one!) is “below” the hotel so passing traffic can be heard!
The concierge service was not great. Communication was slow and then our request (best table to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary) was completely ignored… the reservation at the main restaurant for our last evening was not registered at all and we ended up seating next to the service door (only table left) with all the staff passing by! This is unfortunately creates the wrong kind of memory. My advice: please double check every thing as soon as you arrive. Also note that the swimming pool (& terrace around it) is tiny…
