Best views in town!

The room was very comfortable, large bed, clean 😊 We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Very close to white sand beach which was a highlight for us. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

There is alot of stairs to get to the accommodation, we didn’t mind and found it comical but if you had a heavy suitcase or elderly it might be a lot. There is also alot of temple prayers in the morning, but I don’t think there would be a place in town where you can’t hear that. 🌼

Lovely Views

Please be aware that all previous reviews about bedbugs are outdated and not to be taken into account when booking your stay. This is an issue that only affected the Dorm rooms and we saw that they were taking care of the issue so book with complete ease. We had a fantastic stay at Lemon House. The rooms were beautiful, the staff was lovely, the location was gorgeous and the breakfast was fantastic. You should nevertheless be aware that it’s a bit of a climb to get to it (though the view is well worth it!!!). They will also help you with the luggage btw, provided you let them know in advance! And of course, we were so happy with the extra care they provided us, it made our proposal trip that much cuter☺️ If you’re planning on staying 2-3 nights in Padang Bai this is the place for you!!

Make sure you book the ocean view room!

The view was amazing, pretty plants all around the balcony. The hospitality was great. Nice breakfast made to order in the morning, and they made my coffee for me with the coffee I brought. They accommodated out late check in graciously.

The climb to get there is intense. It was not easy to find, but neighbors helped us. The roosters crow loudly in the morning and the prayer calls and music goes off really early. I never heard anything like it before, it was quite an experience, not bad just different! Definitely a local vibe which was nice.

Ketut made us feel so welcome, breakfast with a great view!

The room was spacious and clean, amazing view of the port and hills from the balcony where we had breakfast, Ketut is so helpful and friendly! He helped us book our airport transfer as well as getting to and from gili air.

We had huge suitcases and you need to go up a big set of stars to get to the property. This really wasn’t a problem for us but could be for others. We would stay again!

Felt right at home

Conveniently located close to the port, since we wanted to take the boat to Gili‘s the following morning. The host was super nice and accommodating for late arrivals and giving us advice for our upcoming destinations. He also made us some delicious breakfast :)

Spacious room, friendly team

Super helpful staff - the owner stored our luggage whilst we went to Gili T and also organised a driver to take us to Sidemen (taxi drivers at the port are aggressive and Grab is not trustworthy in the area). Very spacious room (we had private room, not dorm)

There is a very big set of stairs before you get to the entrance which is a nightmare with big suitcases. A little noisy (I think every accommodation in Padang Bai is though as noise from animals, boats and speakers can be heard everywhere).

Nice and peace place

They wait for me very late at night, because my flight was deleted... They wait for me and give me all the support whit taxi and everything, they are really kind and chill people. The breakfast was amazing, yo can choice you favorite... Thanks so much for been my first friends on the island 🙏✨Terimakasi

People were super lovely and generous. The views from the balcony over the town are beautiful! Close to a nice swimming beach. Bed was comfy, included breakfast was good. Overall was a really chill, quiet but friendly place to stay.

Bathroom not amazing but pretty standard for relatively cheap accom in indo. Not too bad. A little tricky to find but just call the what’s app number when you arrive to make it easy.

Everythings great except that l 1. It’s not clear at what time check in ends 2. Phone number on google maps and booking.com is wrong So you are causing unnecessary stress to travellers arriving late in the day. Please fix.

Basic but okay :)

Reeaaally nice view from the terrace. The rest is basic, good value for price but i would not spend more than 2/3 nights there.

Be really careful on your arrival, if you're late you're going to be locked outside. Luckily a guest was coming home late (10:30pm).

Quite disappointing

The room was spacious, with high ceilings.. seems like an old Balinese house converted into this home-stay/hostel.

Unfortunately this place had a lot of things we weren't too happy about. 1. If you're in any way unfit, handicapped, injured or just gets tired from a long day, there are 70 flight of stairs (4 storeys) to climb before you can get to the place. If you're carrying luggage, you have to carry/wheel them across a few tiny streets for a while before you climb those stairs. There is no car/cab access close to it. 2. Bring really good earplugs - the noise begins at 4am. You will head really loud ship/ferry horns, morning prayers on loud-speakers, the neighbours dogs and a lottt of roosters. We couldn't sleep well most nights from 4am onward. Also, if you look at my photo attached to this, you will see the light entering the room... this is all night. Your room will be that bright. So bring eye-masks too. 3. The place/room has no floor mats, so if you come in from the beach, you will bring in sand into the room everywhere. 4. There are no coffee/tea facilities in the room. No flask or kettle. Or even water. You have to wait until the caretaker/manager shows up at 7:30am to make you some coffee or tea. 5. Do not, by any chance, park your rented scooter downstairs, close to the bottom of the staircase. The neighbours get very angry and very grumpy because it's their area, not belonging to Lemon-House. There is no space really for Lemon-House guests.. so I'm not sure where one is meant to park. 6. If you want a nice, hot, lovely shower at the end of a long, sticky, sandy day, you can completely forget about it. The shower takes 4-5 business days to piss out enough water for a decent shower. And takes a good 10 minutes for any hot water to make an appearance.

Many stairs to climb

This place is lovely. The view and room are very good. The bed is comfortable. It took 8 minutes for the water to get warm in the shower, just FYI. AND although it's location is close to the port, know that there is a final climb of 70 uneven stairs. If you are carrying heavy luggage, or children, or have health issues, simply know this. There was no mention of it in any owner's correspondences .

Perfection and beauty so relaxing

It was in such a beautiful location. An amazing view over the Town and Harbour looking out to the water. And the banana tree leaves were really gorgeous and Green in front of my room.

Good homestay for short stay in Padang Bai

Nice and clean room with aircon. The owner is very helpful and friendly. There was a small problem when we arrived, but he handled it very well and made us feel at home! The view is amazing and the breakfast is good.

Bathroom really needs an upgrade and rooms are quite noisy.

A beautiful place to stay

A simply beautiful little bijoux hostel, an absolute gem. As other people have mentioned, there are steps to the hostel - they are worth the climb, the views are simply wonderful. Our room far exceeded our expectations, the attention to detail for every tiny detail created a beautiful space - shells on the curtain ties, beautifully beaded lights, heart shaped mirror ...The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean - bathroom was perfect. Room and bathroom had plenty of space. The morning light shining into our room was simply stunning, it made me feel very privileged to be staying in such a beautiful place. Fabulous terrace and breakfast was delicious. We will stay again on our way back.

Our stay at lemon house was perfect for a one night stay as it was close to the port and offered clean and comfortable a

close to the port so easy access for the ferry the next morning which made the complimentary breakfast even more helpful when leaving the property
