Limescale in the shower, bath water takes a while to heat up Insufficient lighting in the bathroom, mirror in the bathroom a little high, poor lighting makes it impossible to put in contact lenses or apply makeup . No humain contact ... all made by whatsapp and text.

An Excellent Position in the Centre of Bologna!

First of all I would say that for the location, Cristina Rossi B&B receives +12! This means that every visit objective we had was reachable in max. 10-15 minutes walk. It is a valuable asset for any tourist in terms of time. It is no need of any transportation for going around in the city. The breakfast is good for any normal person, I mean with no special needs. If you have ones, announce the host in advance. I didn't, but also in this situation, Nami took good care and from the next day I had everything I needed! Really considerate! As for the room (second floor, elevator), it was a little bit outdated in terms of decor, and a window lacked! We had a door toward a small let's say patio (but it is not!), which we used to let clean air come in. But no views at all, only inner walls between buildings. A little bit distressing, and it is a pitty to affect the general impression. All in all the impression was very good (mainly for the location), and I would recommend the place for friends too, or I would come back if I ever visit Bologna again. Thank you, Nicola and Nami!

Wonderful location and fantastic hosts

Great location, very close to the central streets and right next to the historical museum. The central station is about a 16-minute walk from the apartment. The heating works well, the place is warm, and the price was excellent for the area.

Not comfortable at all and anxious to leave.

Location, the size of the room, reverse osmosis system for drinking water, comfortable room temperature control, friendly host during check-in, and kitchen facility.

Shower facility with no door/curtain causing water to spill out and required to wipe the stairs/floor every single time after shower to avoid slippage. WiFi connection not working at all with Windows 11 laptop but no problem with iPhones. Building entrance had unbearable odor like sewage/drainage.

Good location , poor hospitality

Location was great

Power went out, we had to locate the power switch ourselves to get the power back on , we contacted the accommodation with no response. Check out was 11.30 we were ask to extend for an hour with an unfriendly response. We ended up leaving by 11 because the cleaner was at our door. We loved Bologna despite this experience.

Perfect for a short city break.

Location was perfect for exploring the old city and on a quiet side street. Also walking distance from the railway station. Lovely fresh bread and croissants from the local bakery at breakfast. Namy gave us good suggestions for restaurants and helped with booking a taxi.

So well located. Single room is small but has all you need with a kettle, mini fridge, en-suite. Namy was v welcoming and also arranged a taxi for me to get my early morning flight!

My room was up 3 flights of stairs. It was fine, but wouldn’t suit everyone.

Avoid this place.

Nothing was as depicted on Booking.com or the description of the property, or even the reviews. However, we appreciated the help and kindness of Namy, the caretaker of the B&B, who managed the guests and the breakfast. I think she was doing her best, and was given minimal resources by the owners, to run the place and offer the services they advertised on the Booking.com. Namy was very responsive to all our requests and helped us with our luggage and check-in, and with restaurant recommendations, and talking to us about things to do in Bologna.

The Room, classified as a Room for 2 people, was extremely small, lacked a window. The description stated that it overlooked a patio in a courtyard. But it was hardly that. It overlooked an alley and the backside of the building, and was extremely sketchy!! The Breakfast was a non-starter right away. Considering that this was a B&B, the breakfast was pathetic, all things were stale and kept out the whole day, and served again the next day. The croissants were burnt on the top and then sprinkled with powdered sugar to hide the burnt tops. On the first day, there was no butter (we were told it was finished!!). On the second day, we were informed (at 1 am, by text) that there would be no breakfast served next morning because the groceries had not come in!! This is unbelievable, for a B&B. The room was really tiny, and dingy. There was not much room to move around. The entire B&B was in a darkish building, and the entrance was even sketchier. I would definitely recommend staying away from it. Booking.com and Cristina Rossi B&B clearly have misrepresented themselves, about this B&B. However, we appreciated the help and kindness of Namy, the caretaker of the B&B, who managed the guests and the breakfast. The best location, nice staff

The accommodation is in a fantastic location, 2 minutes from Piazza Maggiore. For guests arriving by car, the parking facilities at this location are a huge advantage. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Breakfast was fine.

The room and especially the bathroom were a bit cramped. It would have been nice to have a place to put the shower gel in the shower. The breakfast was good, but could have been a little more varied. But these are just minor details.

The worst stay in a very very long time.

The pictures were taken maybe 20 years ago and don’t match the reality. No toilet paper, no hand soap, very noisily with cooking classes, two chairs for children not for adults, only one plug, no mirror, one window was broken and very dirty! Shared bathroom too!

Never written a review before, but this place is so awful, I felt the need to warn others. See photo

Nothing! Meagre breakfast, no fresh fruit, we bought our own. Ran out of cheese, fresh bread, napkins. Expected to eat cereal and/or yoghurt out of a large cup! Bowls were bought on our 4th morning. No milk jug, milk served in a glass or cup so we had to spoon it into our coffee! Felt as if everything was done to be as cheap as possible. Really disliked it and the service wasn’t always the most cheerful. Only liked the location and reasonably comfy bed.

Rooms furnished on the cheap as if from a car boot sale. See photo of the bed side table, which I was reluctant to put anything on, let alone in. Dusty dried flowers, random pictures. There were only 3 out of shape wire coat hangers in my room, one of which was covered in rust, so I threw away. Had to ask on 3rd day for the sink to be cleaned. My friend’s room floor was never swept. There was a hot water switch in my room which I was told not to touch. See photo. Filthy. Wouldn’t have touched it with a barge pole. I don’t mind simple and I didn’t expect 5* as I didn’t pay those prices, but I don’t expect dirt, and the feeling that everything is done as cheaply as possible to extract the maximum amount of money from guests. Frankly, we were happy to leave. Do not stay here!

Great for a solo traveler on a budget.

The b&b was perfect for my needs. It is a wonderful location and a good value. I would return for future solo visits.

The tea pot in my room was dirty and I had some issues with the toilet flushing, but nothing major.

Fabulous service and a great location

An excellent location in a quiet lane off the main street. Nicola was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay and responded to messages very quickly. Breakfast was a simple affair but plenty of it in a lovely setting. The shower in room 4 was great and the air con worked a treat.

A couple of minor points. The two single beds were on wheels so moved every time the kids turned over! Also, the cleaners opened the windows each day to air the room which sounds great but kept letting the mozzies in which feasted on us and ruined our legs!

Location was very good. I cannot explain the kindness and helpfulness of the lady who made our check in. Very honest and smiling home/hotel owner! Our room was quite large and clean. Lovely place, lovely people. Explained everything in detail. it’s a bit quirky which we adored. Delicious breakfast buffet, highly recommended. Great location in the very center of Bologna, with great food places around, and yet totally quiet at night. We will stay here again when we return to Bologna for sure.

Exceptional

Location is better than we could ever imagine or see on Google maps - every place we wanted to see was super close, we didn't have to use the public transportation even once. Room itself was pretty and clean, we got very delicious coffee that helped our stomach digest tons of Italian food we had 😅 Contact with the host was just perfect - we got all the information we needed on the timely manner. To sum up - we strongly recommend staying and Cristina Rossi Bed& Breakfast 💕

Perfect stay in Bologna center. The location is just perfect to be in the city center and have a short 15min walk distance to the main train station. Very quiet, tidy room with he beautiful view to the rooftops of the city. Thorough check-in information and assistance throughout the stay. Friendly and helpful staff.

very convenient location, really polite staff

the location was the greatest possible, the room very spacey, the stuff very helpful and polite and helped with anything asked. both location and staff are rated not only 10/10 but 12/10. although I did not eat breakfast because I had too much food eaten late at night, everything seamed great, variety of options in a very interesting room and the coffee was the greatest possible for a hotel. the cappucino was really nice. Also everything was clean.

the mattress (and pillows) needs to be repaired. my lower waist and neck were destroyed. It was hard luckily it used to be good for sure when bought, but due to use it has become really really really curvy in the middle section, a lot of cm difference.

beautiful b&b in the heart of Bologna

I cannot stress enough about how wonderful our stay here was! And such amazing value for what you pay. AMAZING location, the room was fantastic (appreciated having a bath & a large bathroom after not having one for some time!), the breakfast nook was beautiful & the hosts were so lovely & accommodating. It ticked so many boxes for us & felt like home everytime we came back. The breakfast was delightful with freshly baked croissants & good coffee, with a really nice selection of pastries. We also did a cooking class by Cristina, which was the highlight of my stay at this b&b. It was such an intimate setting & also some of the best tortelloni and definitely the best tagliatelle ragu we had in Bologna (and we had a lot!). It was so lovely of her to also dine with us & share stories of Italy, her family & her home (: EDIT. Had to add this in too but they were so kind to cover our taxi fare to the station after a little miscommunication around what time we needed the booking. I can say these guys have gone above & beyond my expectations. We’ll be back if we’re in Bologna for sure!
