Not worth the money at all

the location in Durbuy

The list is long: the accessibility to the parking During the night, there is none at the desk (no support) even if you have informed them (regulation 4 stars hotels should have someone 24h). the fact that my booking reservation was changed without authorization (Repleaced a suite by a room but the price payed was the same). For the check out the person in charge, did not have any clues on my reservation or the problems. In ourroom the reading light was not fix into the was, it was safe in the toilets, I found 5 small animals like larves,

Good relaxing stay

They have a super good view overlooking the Castle. Appreciate the water, the lemon sparkling water, and the tiny chocolates. The separated bathroom and toilet was clean and looked new. Temp parking for baggage drop-off is available. It’s on the side of the road next to the hotel up the road on the right. We did not see signs though. Anyway, we kept the car parked at Topiary car park. €9 per entry.

Communication was difficult as the reception did not speak English and alleen een beetje Nederlands! We do not speak French unfortunately!

Its a nice town to visit, hotel isn't uptown standard

The bathtub in the room is just strange and you can't shower in it either after. Because of the energy prices they closed pool and sauna but had me pay for!!! They said oh we will open, simply doesn't work that way.

The pool and the sauna

We went there to have a relax weekend but we found a party with over 100 persons celebrating laud until 3am. Our room was a club, we could hear the music clear and super laud. The recepcionist were not cooperative and pretended to not speak English, only French. Avoid.

the breakfast is too simple for this price range, limited selection, no cook for scrambled eggs or omelette. i asked to change my booking prior to arrival via booking. this was possible according to the booking terms but the hotel didn’t respond. when i was there i asked again, but got a very evasive answer. very disappointing and no money returned in the end eventhough i stayed one night less. staff pretends not to understand dutch but they do we found out.

after waiting in reception for 25 minutes for somebody to appear, I was told that they had no rooms available, despite having a booking confirmation from them. when I booked the room, booking.com had 2 available rooms showing.

It was a pleasant stay and experience. The hotel could use some upgrading with the facilities

The location was wonderful and it was in the center of the Christmas Market (parking was difficult but manageable). My husband loved the hotel and the room was spacious and clean! I was a bit harder to please so I have more to say but it did not ruin my experience in the hotel. We loved the wellness area and it was so relaxing! The English/Dutch speaker in the reception tried her best to accommodate us in every way so we were happy about that. The NYE dinner was also pleasant and the food was good! The staff were courteous though most of the time, we could not understand each other due to the language barrier.

It is a nice hotel overall and we were very pleased with our stay but there can be room for improvement considering that it is a 4 star hotel in a tourist destination. Maybe it would be worthwhile to invest on coffee machines and capsules with glasses, porcelain cups and saucers to fit the ambience of the room. Paper cups and powdered coffee make the room look like a 2 star hotel which is a shame since the rooms are nice. We requested for extra pillows and blankets but we never got a follow up anymore. I need high pillows to breathe properly when sleeping and explained that but the request was denied unfortunately. Perhaps it would be good to add extra pillows and blankets in the spacious cabinets moving forward for guests. More drink options in the mini bar would have made it perfect. Water was free though so that’s a good thing. The internet was quite slow so maybe that can be improved. The Smart TV was great! The breakfast spread is already good but could be improved by making the options more varied. Along with scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs, perhaps sunny side up eggs could also be added in the menu. After 5 days, bacon gets boring if that is the only warm food as an option so perhaps more warm breakfast meal options would make the selection better (like sausage or ham). Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and we enjoyed our vacay in Durbuy by staying in this hotel.

I had foreign objects in my scrambled eggs, some sort of metal string. The eggs were also runny, plus there was no cheese.

The room is of good quality, material and comfort

Staff is too relax... lax. Unprecise. Hammam was cold. So no Hammam. Sauna temperature was 60 degrees... so, not a real sauna... The swimming pool was cold... ok, high energy prices... but not enjoyable then. No staff around the wellness to fix these issues... Conclusion: I definitely overpaid my stay.

Lack of staff, no permanent staff at reception, poor breakfast, had to change to less comfortable room because boths TV not working. We booked a suite and ended up in a standard room.

Absolutely AMAZING experience, I had to come back two weekends in a row!

This property was unlike any other property I have stayed at in a really long time. It is truly one of a kind. Due to COVID restrictions, I have spent the last three Christmas Holiday Seasons alone. I decided to come to Durbuy because I had been here the weekend before, and just fell in love with the city. I was shocked to see that there was a beautiful hotel WITH A SPA located right in the center. I came for two weekends straight (I’m not kidding) haha. I came for Christmas, and then brought my friend as well that was visiting me in Belgium for New Years. we both could not stop complimenting the hotel and the staff. The rooms had such beautiful views, the amenities were phenomenal, and best of all…it truly felt like a home away from home. I was really depressed coming into this Holiday season, and the staff was so kind. I was astonished by their hospitality and kindness. They truly make you feel like you are apart of their family. I had two weekends of opportunities to connect with other guests, and it definitely all felt the same! Everyone was smiling, laughing, having fun, and enjoying their holidays. I can honestly say that this hotel and the staff prevented me from being very depressed spending another holiday season alone. (I would like to highlight as well that my friend was planning on staying in Paris for New Years, and when she heard about my experience over Christmas, she immediately asked if she could come up to Belgium to join me!) We both got massages as well! Fabienne and Trina, I can’t thank you enough for all that you did for me, and for my friend. For the spa therapists, THANK YOU for working on both Christmas and New Years Day, you both are extraordinary. Also to the other staff, you are absolutely amazing. The entire team here worked every day through the holidays without missing a beat. Incredible! I can’t wait to come back to visit. I have already had so many friends and colleagues ask me for the information for this hotel haha!

Location in Durbuy was very good. Swimming pool was nice, enjoyed the massage. Breakfast.

The hotel was dark when we arrived, nobody there only key and note on a table. No locks on toilet or bathroom doors.
