Large comfortable house with great views

Cleaner not hoovered very well before we arrived as dark hard worms dead and alive found round the edges of downstairs including behind conservatory curtains and under conservatory doormat and in shower room downstairs. We cleaned and hoovered before and after visit. The house was cleaner after we left. Definitely need 1 more shower upstairs in such a large house.

Lovely house in quiet location, good secure garden for dogs

The location was amazing - very quiet with a lovely secure garden for our dog. We didn’t use the lounges but spent all our time in the conservatory and was big enough for the four of us. The views were gorgeous, so why sit in another room. Maybe in winter you would use the other rooms. It was a 10 mins drive to Dunoon, plenty of supermarkets there.

The shower downstairs wasn’t very powerful, hardly any water came out 😢

View was outstanding

House decor could do with a freshen up . Particularly the bedrooms and bathrooms. We loved having the log burners but it would have been nice to have the TV in the lounge with the fire as it was too chilly to sit in the sunroom during the evening in Springtime

Lovely location, very well kept property! Everything was nice and clean and all amenities were of high standard. The hosts were very easy to contact and very helpful answering any questions or queries that we had during our stay!

Superb

Fabulous location and ideal for a family. Kitchen and cooking facilities were really good and it was a joy to get the family round the table for a meal looking out over the loch. Without even leaving the house we were able to watch gannets diving, the odd seal and even a pod of dolphins! Beautiful woodland walks and foraging on the shoreline meant we didn't need to take the car all the time.

No shaver/toothbrush socket. Take an adaptor! Garden steps could do with a handrail and the one that was there wasn't really long enough.

Superb

The house has everything you need. It is comfortable and the views are superb. Communication with the owners was good too.

Booking.com states it is 1 mile from Dunoon when it is actually SIX miles so don't imagine you can have a leisurely walk into town. Nearest shop/restaurant is 1.6 miles away so transport is essential. Remember your midge spray as the road is known as Midge Lane. We also had an unusual issue with millipedes in the sun lounge. They are harmless but easily swept up. This was reported so I am sure it will be dealt with.

Lovely location for a family holiday

The house was lovely and comfortable with loads of charm. The views of Holy Loch and the hills from the conservatory and 3 of the bedrooms was exceptional. The beds were comfortable, there was a lot of communal space and a there is a well appointed kitchen. The location was brilliant for exploring the local area and we really liked the village and neighbouring villages. The owner was also friendly and helpful when we had a query.

Fabulous garden with terrific views, and generally lovely location. Spacious house with wood burning stove, and the conservatory was wonderful.

The decor was just too old fashioned - just too much! Although the period furniture and features were lovely- but altogether there were just too many contrasting flowery patterns! There were a few like guys not working and no DVD player - but it didn’t matter. Would highly recommend this house and area.
