Fabulous… love the red squirrel in the garden.

Location and setting perfect. Lodge lovely and cost and Abigail took special care with our cats.

Excellent location, cosy and comfortable lodge and a stones throw to forest and river walks.

Attentive host, Abigail generously left us a winter / Christmas welcome pack and had lightly decorated the lodge. We loved the large windows to watch the birds (inc. an owl!) and squirrels during the day and the amazing starry sky at night.

We loved everything about Ruskin Lodges. The lodge and accomodation was absolutely perfect and the location is so beautiful with lots of amazing walks. The whole family including a 12 and 9 year old loved the time here.

I find it very difficult to think of anything negative except the midges.

Stunning scenery and close to nature whilst maintaining comfort

There's fantastic walks around the area and red squirrels that run around the lodge area, brilliant!

Absolutely stunning location for relaxing & enjoying the great outdoors

Beautiful, quiet location. Host was very friendly & helpful with loads of useful information sent to us before arrival. An excellent base for exploring the local area. Walks or bike rides directly from the lodge without having to go on the main road was a bonus. We visited Loch Eck which was stunning, Ardentinny beach, picnic area & woodland walks, Glenbranter waterfall walk and fabulous bluebell displays, and cycled along a lovely quiet road through Glen Masson. Great independent bookshop in Dunoon with coffee & excellent apple cake!!! Also the cafe in Blairmore for Treacle scones & jam!! Back at base we loved the large comfy bed, red squirrels coming to the feeder box on our balcony & relaxing in the sunshine. What more could you ask for? 10/10

Beautiful Lodge and Fantastic Host

We Liked everything, in the picture it looks good but in reality the property was extremely beautiful and spotless, it has everything even we had lots of indoor games cards to play, lots of Movies and best location. Abigail is fantastic host you just ask something and she will come up with lots of solutions. We enjoyed our stay a lot. As I am a Travel Agent so I know she deserves appreciation.

Very homely and fully equipped. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and loads of hot water for bath/shower. The closed outdoor terrace was a fantastic bonus, meaning we could sit outside with our dog.

Ruskin Lodge 9

Lodge was lovely, had everything we needed and in a perfect location for pucks glen. Accommodated 6 adults comfortably and cosy when it was just the two of us with our dogs. Veranda is secure so great for dogs to dry off. Host left loads of information, which was extremely helpful and responded to any questions very quickly! The laundry area was a bonus (washing machine & dryer) no sodden wet clothes to bring home! Cooking was easy as all the necessities were there but if you fancy a night off takeaways deliver. The site itself is well maintained and lodges laid out so each one has space, very quiet and relaxing atmosphere...perfect if you want a base away for hustle and bustle! Short drive to Ardentinny beach which is beautiful, even when raining...lots of places to visit and loads of places to eat out! Will definitely return!

The Lodge is fantastic, has everything you could need. It's very clean and in an ideal spot. We loved every minute of our time there. It's great having walks on your doorstep if you don't feel like driving. I would go back in a heartbeat. Hope to book up to go again.

Great value for money holiday. All the family enjoyed.

The location was second to none, with various scenic walks nearby. The Benmore botanic garden is also worth a visit, and is a short walk or drive away. I also, in my 53 years on this rock, saw my first red squiggles.

What I really hated about this holiday........was going home :) I could have stayed a lot longer, as we were lucky enough to get a very rare for the west coast, scorching hot week.

Fabulous 5 day break in the Highlands

Everything was excellent. Fantastic lodge in a gorgous forrest setfing. The host had worked extremly hard to ensure everything was perfect. Went the extra mile with goodies including Coffee, Shotbread, honey, oatcakes left out for us .. verh much appricated!
