Disappointing

We have been visiting this location and these cabin for over twenty years and the location is excellent.

After raising several serious safety concerns with the owner upon arrival, our worries were dismissed and completely ignored as they were away in America. We contacted them again to warn them about dangerous electrical issues and a leak under the sink. We had been told not to move the bowl placed beneath the leak, but it was positioned right next to a live socket, and the drip wasn’t contained — it was seeping out into the kitchen. The property does have some lovely qualities, but the lack of support after arriving left us feeling abandoned and ignored. This has been incredibly disappointing, especially as we were staying with our young family and were equally concerned for the safety of future guests. These issues urgently needed attention.

Well equipped lodge, high quality interior, great location for walks, spacious for a family of 4, great sized bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A washing machine would have been useful after a week's worth of muddy walks. Other than that, nothing 😀

There are so many beautiful walks and stunning locations to explore; being next to Pucks Glen is another great bonus, a must see! Thank you so much for such a wonderful week in a stunning area, the lodge was the perfect base whilst we explored the landscape and as many of the walking trails as possible. The facilities at the lodge were brilliant, and the kitchen is the best equipped we have ever experienced for self catering! Such great attention to detail throughout, so clean and welcoming from the moment we arrived.

Relaxing place to stay

The price for the location was absolutely amazing. The cabin was lovely and comfortable. There were even quiz games to play which we appreciated. The kitchen had plenty pots and bits we needed to cook for ourselves. We would definitely come back.

We read in the book that we had to sweep the floors and remove pet hair from the rug in the lounge. There was no dustpan for the sweeping brush and it was just luck we had a lint brush but even then we could only do our best. We couldn't find a tea towel to dry pots. Although we didn't need it a washing machine would be useful for hikers as there was a sign to say no wet or dirty clothes to be taken in the property.

The hot water tap in the kitchen never got above 28c in temp. A larger kitchen table would’ve been ideal but wasn’t a major problem.

Dunoon winter vacation

Thank we had a lovely winter break in Dunoon. Fulfilled our expectations: lovely location, very comfortable cabin, clean, warm, good modern equipment for the stay throuthout the house, including details like TV, Wifi, maps, games. The owners sent us the message well before the time of our arrival. Thank you. We would love to return in the future.

Lodge was exceptional. Immaculately clean and the decor was fab!. Owners were very quick to respond to our queries. Lodge is on a beautiful, quiet site with Pucks Glen behind. (This us a must as the gorge and waterfalls are stunning) lovely walk to Benmore Botanical Gardens and perfect for access (short drive) to local restaurants and amenities. Short drive to Loch Eck which again, is stunning. Beds were very comfortable!!! Would highly recommend this Lodge. We didn't want to leave!

Only one thing (which wasnt a hardship). Wish there had been a washing machine!. Apart from that everything was perfect!

A cosy wee cabin in a fantastic location.

Having Puck's Glen for a back garden for a week was amazing. I was through it daily. Loch Eck is a few minutes away and is absolutely stunning. Plus, having two dogs with us, it was great taking a short drive up into the mountains to let them run loose. The views are spectacular! It was so peaceful sitting out on the deck at night, and the decor was lovely. Great wee touches everywhere... love the judgemental fox in the hat! :) This was a very comfortable home from home, highly recommend a stay here.

Amazing lodge

Lovely clean spacious well equipped cabin. Really nice decor Lovely surprise of a bottle of wine left on table. Would definitely book again love pucks glen,so good not having to get in the car. Loved the rocking chair and couch outside. We were lucky enough to have good weather in October we could sit out. Loved the fox theme. Cabin had everything you could need.
