Fabulous little hideaway in a spectacular part of the country! We took the path through the garden of the main house down into Tarbert, a lovely walk -though perhaps not so suitable for those with very small children or adults that are not so steady on their feet. Though the Chicken Coop is "cozy" the bedroom feels roomy.
More of an observation than a complaint - we would be very happy to return :)
The bathroom is situated under the stairs and is very snug, though there is a full sized wash hand basin. People who are taller than 6 ft will find it more difficult to fit in the shower as the headroom is compromised.

The little garden area really needs attention. It would be such an asset to the cottage. It wouldn’t take much to spruce it up.

Great location, loved the walk into the village. Cottage had all facilities needed and very comfortable. Full cooking facilities and laundry facilities if required.
Some aspects of the cottage are tired however still comfortable.

I like that it had laundry on site. Kerry was very good about getting a new washing machine when the other one broke down. We had good communication with her so that was very helpful.

Lovely little place well hidden so no busy traffic and was perfect placement for seeing kintyre
Hard to find needs a sign post on the main road

Everything needed for a (compact) couple. Good quiet location but an easy 15 -20 min woodland walk from Tarbert. Basic but adequately equipped.
Directions to find the property! Sign at road end faded and obscured by foliage.

Nice, cosy and warm. Best placed property for mobile phone connection in village 😃 spacious for clothes. Great little walk into village or down to white shore. Good parking for vehicle. Neighbour was nice Helping out when there was a power cut even though she scared the crap out of mrs and kids 😂😂 didn’t need to use laundry room but handy there is one. Owner was lovely to talk to with her lovely dog. Host was a text message away if there were any problems.
Just nip picking but possibly an outdoor light, it can be extremely dark (maybe no so bad summertime)

Good bedroom space, bed a little uncomfortable.
A bit too far out of Tarbert for us.
Cottage needs a bit of an upgrade
No outdoor area to sit at

Wonderful, quiet location down a long drive before you get to Tarbert. Instructions left inside directed us to the woodland walking path to Tarbert. A very pretty walk. Informative information on where to park and eggs for sale. Comfortable accommodations with plenty of room for the three of us.
We never did manage to get hot water from any of the sinks (although the electric shower had plenty). This maybe explained the greasy film on the dishes in the kitchen, so we boiled the kettle to wash the dishes. No kitchen roll or kitchen towel provided and no spare foil or toilet paper on hand. The couch and cushions smelled of dog.

Perfect location for exploring the area, very beautiful part of Scotland. Some lovely walks from the cottage. Simple and comfortable cottage (perfect for us) with everything we needed and was more spacious than we expected. Nice little back garden for sitting outside. Kerry was very helpful when we asked for an extra bath mat and towel for the shower.
Owner's friendly collie came in to visit a few times, very sweet doggie.
Just wish we could have stayed longer.

A very comfortable cottage in a remote location, perfect for chilling out.
Would have been great to know about the goats/sheep as had to keep our dog on a lead.

We self catered. We loved the walk down through the farm woods full of bluebells to the marina.
The garden was in need of attention. Grass was high which I liked anyway for the little creatures but there were many big weeds on the paving. It didn't stop us from sitting out when the sun shone, but that little garden could be fabulous.

Location.Nice and quiet. Nice walk through the woods to Tarbert. away from traffic. Black out blinds on Velux windows upstairs. Outbuildings to store cycles overnight
Bed squeaked & creaked and not very comfortable. Only one bed-side lamp which made getting to bed difficult in the dark No where to hang up outdoor jackets. Kitchen not very well equipped or set out. Cooker had been replaced but tiles round it needed tidied up. No Welcome pack but instead note left to say could purchase eggs for £2. (A small Welcome pack would be appreciated )

The cottage was clean, cosy, superb location , lovely town in easy walking distance and the bed was comfy.
The decor is very tired as is the furniture. The couches had given up their plumpness, discoloured through ware & a hole in one of the seats. Just generally very tired, really small shower area.

Arrived at property early evening in freezing cold weather. Text owner to say I arrived in town by bus asked for direction told to walk on busy road for 1.5 miles. Got to property no one had put any heating on you would have thought with the very cold weather they would have put it on. Next morning no one came to see if I was OK. I decided not too stay at the property got another property in town. This property is OK if you have a car. Owners well they just stay 1 minute up the lane they could have introduced themselves. I would not stay again

The property is very close to Tarbert and was ideal for our purposes. The facilities were excellent, with a cooker and washing machine available. Bed is very comfortable, and the TV has Freeview. Kerry is an excellent and extremely accommodating host, when bent over backwards to quickly help with the very few issues that we had.
It rained constantly while we were there, and the area around the front door became very muddy - it was difficult to keep anything clean (I always feel that properties should be left the way we find them, but on this occasion, the mud got the better of us).

Back again to this lovely cottage. We love the setting and being able to walk into Tarbert and to the beach on the footpath - just lovely. Everything as good if not better than our last visit, the owners keep everything up to scratch - decoration, equipment, cleanliness. Peaceful and love the Herdy sheep pottering about.

Lovely comfortable cottage. Excellent base for our week around Argyle, including a wedding in Ardrashaig, a visit to Islay and to Iona, and some trips more locally. Easy walk into Tarbet. Would consider another visit, but ...
The neighbour in the cottage to the right!! Very aggressive and abusive. Was on the verge of calling the police, but it was nearing midnight and we had an early morning ferry to catch. He blocked us in, and when I asked him if he could move his car and let us out I got a lot a swearing and abuse. He said he owned the area I was parked on, but there were no signs to say Private or No Parking. All in all a very nasty experience, so unfortunately we won't be back.
