A pleasant stay in nature

A lovely cottage near a beautiful forest. It had pretty much everything we needed. The key handover was completely straightforward via a door code. There is parking available right in front of the house.

There was a lot to consider before we arrived. We received a very long message that made us feel uncertain. Unfortunately, there was no comfortable sofa. When the neighbours talked outside at night in normal voices, we could hear everything through the wooden walls. This meant we couldn't sleep well. There were some strangers on the property as the hiking trail starts behind the house.

Excellent lodge, clearly kept in fantastic condition. All 6 of our group had nothing but compliments for the lodge.

Nothing. Everything was perfect as advertised, only downside was bugs however this isn’t the fault of the owner.

If you want a relaxing break in a beautiful location this is a perfect choice.

A great location on the edge of the Argyll forest. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the birds and enjoying the privacy. Pucks Glen was on our doorstep and it is a wonderful place for walking the dog. The Cowall area is beautiful and we were close enough to get to shops and attractions easily.

The lodge was comfortable and clean but it was a little tired. The beds were very comfortable but the living area furniture was not. On the whole we were happy with the lodge but it does need a bit of an upgrade.

Location was good and quiet

Wasnt clean very dated and dark no washing machine shower tray slippy and dangerous door leaked dust everywhere we cleaned when we left cleaner than when we arrived cooker control numbers rubbed off so way to make sure which ring was on

Stayed 4 nights, overall accommodation was good and excellent location.

Location was excellent, good base to explore. lodge was a good size. Site was clean and well kept. Everything was provided for use in the kitchen such as washing up equipment. Had no issues while we were there.

The lodge badly needs upgrading, windows did not feel secure so wouldn’t want to leave anything of value in there. Furniture in rooms was very tired but it was functional. Cooker needs an upgrade, no markings on ring controls as all worn away. However I have to say that everything worked. Oh and take your own corkscrew!

Nice quiet place to stay for a few nights with family and friends for new year, exactly what we want

Some perfect walking routes right outside the property, highly recommend pucks glen walk around a beautiful waterfall in the woodlands. Nice cabin in the woods with tv, WiFi, all the cooking facilities, coffee machine etc. Nice little touch with board games etc as well

The shower in the bathroom could do with being replaced/updates, very poor with absolutely no pressure-basically just taps with a poor shower head. So we all used the shower in the twin room after the first night which was far better.
