It was easy to find near lots of restaurants and shops. It was comfortable and clean for the most part.
It wasn't explained that we had to wait for someone from another building to come and let us in.
Multipul cobwebs in the room and the bed was very squeaky.

Good location
there was no soap to wash hands and the dispensers for the shampoo and conditioner.

It was close to everything we needed,
Very quiet at night..
For the price we paid you couldn’t find any faults…

I, unfortunately, didn't realise this is an unstaffed hotel.
It was tiny, pretty cramped, although it looked clean, I wasn't confident about the hotel as it feels 'unloved', if that makes sense.
My tiny attic room was ok but as I mention...tiny and the tiniest bathroom was only a step away from mine and another guest's room. The other guest could probably hear me breathing, it really is that cramped on the top floor.
If I'd realised this was more like a hostel than a guest house, I wouldn't have booked it.
The bonus was the fact I got to park in a parking space right in front of the guest house, on their private drive - a rare privilege for Summertown!

Great location. Buses to the city centre are frequent and cheap. Parking on site or on road nearby with a permit provided by the hotel. Summertown, where the property is, has loads of shops and cafes. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable, basic room with decent enough en-suite.
It’s a bit basic in the room for the price and could do with a bit of updating

Location was very near bus stops, coffee shops, restaurants, convenient stores in north Oxford
Upon arriving, the room smelled foul, I understand old town and old sewer system but this was too much. it made sleeping very difficult. Had to run a fan all night. And the heater was off. (mind you the night temps were 2 to 8 degrees C). Funny enough, I was asked to change rooms since they had given me the wrong room. The new room was bigger and not smelly but no shampoo or body wash, little toilet paper, sagging beds, TV and heater not working (very cold in the room), but worse than anything was the LOUD ALARM that would go off several times a night just shocking me. I wake up panicked just looking in the dark. After leaving a note for cleaning crew on my door nothing happened. Had to call the office the next day, then most issues were taken care of ( the heat was on the last night) except for the alarm. It would go off at 1, then at 3 then twice at 5 which did not allow for any sleep. I wasn't running the shower or the kettle, or smoking or doing anything except trying to sleep. I actually dreaded going to my room. Even called the management again but nothing happened. I ended up sick. I actually would like to be compensated for such a horrible stay

Nothing
Booked a room to find out at check in that I had booked 6 months in advance. I was told to book another room and claim a refund on the wrongly booked room. After I booked the second room I then received an email saying that I could not get a refund because I booked a none refundable room.
I feel like I have been scammed.

Very good location near shops and cafes of Summertown and bus stop to centre. Very friendly and welcoming host. The room was a decent size and nice and clean. Comfortable bed.
A few little niggles that could be fixed ..no tea bags, no tea spoons or stirrer, shower was a bit broken and some bits rusty. Only two flat pillows on double bed. Broken drawer wouldn’t stay in. A fire alarm sounded inside room briefly in evening and at around 7am (on a Sunday morning!)

Room was OK - shower room was convenient
The standard information list was woefully our of date - it led me to believe there was a dining room and the possibility of breakfast. There was neither.

Location, Large bedroom and bathroom
On first arrival the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke and the shower was most difficult to use. A person did try to remove the smoke smell and when we went back in the evening it was better. We told the cleaner that we could not use the shower and he demonstrated how it worked by twisting the control further. It was still difficult to regulate pressure and temperature.

Been here before and always reliable and good value place and this time was just the same
It's in good location
It was good, I think if I was being fussy, the shower door in bathroom could do with some work as bit stiff. It was all clean but someone had left a shaver on top of door which was easy to miss so fair enough.

Cold room, no heating
When asked, heating came on for one hour, radiator barely warm
Had to sleep with my tracksuit to keep warm☹️

Cheap price
Very small room. Shared bathroom. It was quite noisy when other guests moved around their rooms. Couldn't shut the skylight blind or turn off the hallway light so quite a lot of light pollution in the room. Everything in the room needs a dusting and a new coat of paint. The room was so small you couldn't open the door without hitting the desk

Lovely room in a nice townhouse. Great location across from a nice cafe and shops. Nice and quiet. Clean. Lovely breakfast in the morning from staff who were always friendly and welcoming.
Best have a phone that works as you need to call to get access on first arrival.

Everybody was absolutely lovely, very friendly staff. Great value for money the breakfast was brilliant, was able to get cereal, eggs, toast croissants, and unlimited coffee. Brilliant location if you're planning a trip to Oxford, it is only six minutes away from the town centre by bus. The bus stop is 1 minutes walk from the property, costs only £2.
Nothing, brilliant stay

on a good bus route in to Oxford. Plenty of local groceries near by. Clean.
There are no staff. It said breakfast was included, but it wasn’t. The key was in a key safe outside & we had to get a code and that was it. Only two parking spaces for 9 rooms.
