Parking was available.
Bus stop was outside property but we chose to walk 40 mins into town. Nice shops/cafes just by property.
Friendly staff.
Mattress was old, poor quality and soft.
Heating was on full blast.
Breakfast basic-no fruit/veg/pastries.

Had all the requirements for a pleasant overnight stay with added bonus of friendly staff, opportunity to check in early and free parking ( often an extra cost in Oxford!) Some distance from the actual city centre ( 30 minutes walk) but frequent bus service. Good range of shops and restaurants in the vicinity.

Great hotel. I've stayed twice now and had a positive stay on both occasions. It's a little further out but there are plenty of buses providing easy access to the city centre. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
I booked last minute on my second stay (same day) and hadn't received any details on how to access the property / room by the time I arrived at about 8pm. However, I called the hotel and a staff member arrived within 10 minutes of me calling to let me in. A minor point though and quickly remedied.

Comfortable and very responsive staff.
Parking was not available for our large car so that was a problem on arrival. Staff tried to respond. Stairs so a bit of a struggle with luggage.

O was staying with my partner and 10 years child.I booked Deluxe Room with double bed and one single however i had room with 2 single beds. There was only 2 towels and 2 cups so looked like room was for 2 people not 3 what we paid for. There was no hot water from the tap in a bathroom, floors squicky, room was really hot. Also on booking page there was no explanation how to get into your room, only when I rang number which I found also on a sign outside guest house,so staff explained there was key safe by front door,he told us code and that way we got our key but all this information should be provided on booking.com system.
I didn't ring and complained about beds situation that night cos we arrived late and we had to leave early and my child was exhausted so I left it but basically we had one of the worst stays ever.DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUEST HOUSE
We didn't get the room we paid for, 2 single beds for 2 adults and child is beyond joke

Exceptionally friendly greeting, very easy parking in Oxford, excellent location in summertown, very clean, very warm, very comfortable rooms. I could not fault this guest house.
Nothing at all.

Rooms was clean and bed bas fairly comfortable
It was cold, really cold. Shower had almost no pressure, and was either scalding hot or freezing cold - completely unusable.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the location couldn’t have been better. Our triple room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family of three. We really appreciated the free on-site parking and the convenience of having bus stops nearby, making it easy to reach the city centre. There are also some fantastic spots just across the road — OXTWO serves delicious small plates, and Colombian Coffee Roasters offers excellent coffee and generously filled bagels.
For the price we liked everything. It was excellent value for money.

The room was compact but had everything we needed. There was an ensuite which despite being tiny had everything in it.
When we arrived the front door was locked as we were in the process of following the directions to call for access a lady arrived who was aware we were coming. She had a table in the dining room where she seemed to be managing guest bookings from. She was helpful regarding what was available locally , we had mistakenly thought we had booked to stay in Oxford or a short walk out of Oxford, the guest house is in a district called Summertown, a short bus journey from Oxford.
Breakfast seemed a little confusing, we were given no option to book breakfast when we booked the room, although buffet breakfast seemed to be available we were not given the option to take this up. We were able to park on the front of the property, but the space was challenging and limited to 2 cars, apparently there is other parking , this was vaguely described and appeared to be on the road.
There was a slight smell of drains when you were in the bathroom, but this was not evident in the room.
The room was pleasantly decorated with co ordinated linens , there was a hair dryer available.
Check out at 11.00am was great, we were able to go for breakfast locally without rushing.
Smell in the ensuite.
Would have liked more clarity of information about the breakfast

Location is great, very easy to get to and well connected to buses etc if you don’t fancy a 20 minute walk from the station.
Information about breakfast etc could have been advertised better

Breakfast was limited but acceptable to us
The location was ideal for us as we had no car so proximity to shops and bus stops was ideal.

It was small, as a suggestion… open the coffee/breakfast room after hours for guests have a little more space to do some work, read or use the internet.

Very friendly and attentive couple that ran the guest house. Lovely breakfast, comfy bed and room with everything we needed. Great location to explore Oxford. Off road parking was a bonus.

Very convenient for our local event. Lovely room. Friendly staff.
The room was incredibly warm but England was experiencing a heatwave at the time! Also being on the very busy Banbury Road meant we closed the windows to reduce traffic noise, making the room stiflingly warm overnight. Our second room on the top floor was significantly warmer and had a shared bathroom. Other than adding air conditioning there is probably not much more that can be done. The fans helped a bit. The accommodation itself though was perfectly adequate for our needs. And great for walking into Summertown or potentially catching a bus to central Oxford.

Easy check in. Parking available. Room comfortable.
The floors are very spongy and therefore very loud and creaky.

In a perfect location for the British Grand Prix, as I could both walk and easily take a bus to Oxford Parkway that took me to the track. The staff was also very lovely, the internet fast and many good shops and restaurants around.
It seems that the walls are quite thin as you could hear very well when others were coming or going, but it wasn't really a bother. Someone kept coming into the room during the day to empty the rubbish and make the bed every day even though I had not asked for the room to be cleaned, which I found weird, but again, not really a bother.

Location was close to Oxford centre.
We found multiple issues with our room, to the extent we left the property a day early and stayed with a Holiday Inn, for the remainder of our trip in Oxford.
Most of the issues we found were damage to the property and not rectifiable during our stay. Which are outlined below:
1. Room dirty. Dust all over the walls, light fixtures, skirting boards.
2. Mould in bathroom.
3. Extensively water damaged vanity unit in bathroom.
4. Missing tap handle in bathroom.
5. Broken lamp next to bed.
6. Water damaged flooring in both bathroom and main room.
7. Heavily water damaged ceiling in main room.
8. Damaged wall in main room and multiple dirty marks.
9. Exposed wiring behind tv.
10. 10. Bed mattress so old, when laying down the bed compressed flat.
Photos are below.
Multiple attempts to contact OYO have been made with no real response - automated replies with ‘ticket numbers’ with no follow up.
Booking.com gave us a small goodwill refund, but this does not cover the additional accomodation we had to book, nor the lost night.
Absolutely unacceptable. Would not recommend.

Lovely Oxford townhouse within Summertown (with useful little shops) and buses to hop into town. The parking was a bonus and we were very grateful to get help with parking when we arrived. It was clean. The towels were fluffy. The fan in the room was much appreciated. The whole team is friendly and made us feel at home.
The bathroom was a little on the small side and would benefit from a refurb as it was well used. Still perfectly functional and clean, just well used.
It was a bit noisy because of the road (and it was busy outside as the weather was nice)
7.0 / 10.0
It was convenient for my trip, and comfortable. Although there was a shared bathroom, it was useful to have a sink in the room, and I also appreciated the fan on a very hot weekend.
It was difficult to get it, as there were 4 key safes, no indication of which was mine, and the key code I was sent didn’t work with any of them - so had to call for instructions and a new key code.

The staff were friendly
I was in the top attic single bedroom. The room was very hot and when you open the sky light window, the noise from the traffic kept me awake all night.

Smelt awful, staff were extremely rude over the phone when asked a simple question about my booking, the room was disgusting and the shared bathroom (which i did not book but apparently did) was disgusting

Great location. Quick check-in.
Placed hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. Big bundles of dust were everywhere and alot of visible rubbish (hair, dust) everywhere.
Also the TV remote was removed from the room for some reason when we were away.

We loved the location of this place! Great restaurants, shops, and cafes nearby. We only stayed for one night but we loved Oxford so much. Beds were fine and the room was just what we needed for our one night stay.
Nothing really to report. One of our windows didn't close properly but overall, this place was inexpensive and just what we needed.

A lovely guest house in an excellent location in Summertown, right near two convenient bus stops to the city centre. The room was comfortable, the shared bathroom was always clean, and staff were helpful and friendly. Very useful car park and lovely room.
The sink drain in the room was a bit noisy, but thankfully stopped after a while.

Do not bother …. This is nothing more than a crack and alcohol den … sent workers here and was told it’s an absolute joke of a place this shouldn’t be on booking . Com

welcoming hosts, nice natural lighting in the building. Really liked the third floor room with shared bathroom, felt cozy and private.
That I didn’t stay longer.

The bathroom was updated and included a towel warmer. Clean. Since the location was not in city center, we liked that the bus stop was right outside.
We did not like the rickety stairs and floors. Normal footsteps were very loud. The other tenants were quite loud, talking and slamming doors, easily heard in our room. In addition, the breakfast was minimal. For the price, a full English breakfast should have been standard offering.
