The Cotswold House offers parking and is close to a bus stop that takes you to the city center. Breakfast is served by an English Lady Sue, we enjoyed it very much. Mark is a very kind host.

The location offers convenient access to the town center, and the hospitality upon arrival was very welcoming. The staff were exceptionally kind, and the breakfast was delightful
I have nothing further to add, as I thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay there.

Value for money. Easy to find and travel to. Flexible and convenient check in. Great breakfast, well presented. Comfortable double bed in family room.
Cleanliness could have been better, leftover pizza in the mini fridge. Information folder missing. Single bed mattresses uncomfortable.

Location was good, easy to find, breakfast was fine, room had everything I needed.
Pillows were hard, struggled to sleep because of.shower was little weak.

Good value room and easy to get key and find room. Good communication pre-arrival. The room had a double bed, clean towels with ensuite. Everything was clean. I didnt have time for breakfast but that is an added bonus.
The only problem was that there wasn't any space left for parking on the drive, even though I arrived around 3pm. I think there were 3 or 4 cars on the driveway and no room for another without blocking someone in. Fortunately I could park around the corner which is only permit parking during peak time (I risked an hour).

Location
Very old fashioned and in need of repairs and decoration The tv barely worked Breakfast poor

The location was great for bus links into town .
The breakfast was very good with great selection of fresh fruit and excellent service, very friendly people, felt homely and traditional.
The decor was in need of refurbishing. The blind didn’t cover whole window in bathroom and the shower pressure weak but despite the beds being old was still a comfortable nights sleep .

Outside of the property looked nice and stairway the dining area was also nice . The bedroom that we was allocated let the stay down . The location was spot on a 30 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride into Oxford
The bedroom was a bad standard it’s such a shame as the property itself from the outside gives it a good reference

The staff was nice, and the house fine. Perhaps the bathroom was the only thing to improve.
The handle of the door was broken, and perhaps breakfast a little limited.

Great price!
Friendly folk!
Parking.
The breakfast was a bonus: toast, cereal, fruit, tea/coffee☕
Fridge in room! Excellent.
No front desk - it was more akin to 8 or so independent flats. Each room had a room key + front door key.
Not *run down* or *shabby* but definitely needs freshening up
The main difficulty of a hotel such as this is the high standard of mattresses in the *chains* like Travelodge and Premier - the mattress wasn't awful but not a patch on those.

Nice size room and bed, friendly and welcoming staff
A little far from the University but I guess it’s an expensive area. Also breakfast is a little basic

Location near to the centre. Parking when able to get on the drive. Big rooms and bathroom.
Room - very dated. Very unclean on arrival. Hairs in the sink, cracked tiles, cracks in the ceiling, broken sharp robe hooks, stains on the carpet/chairs, room/toilet smelt like the sewers, open/half eaten biscuits on the coffee tray in the room, was itching all night in bed, view from our window was a run down shed/slimey dirty roof, no one to greet us, keys left under a mat, single bed was squeaking all night when moving and leaves/ dirt under the beds. Room felt that unclean I couldn't brush my teeth or wash.
Breakfast- Served far too early for a Saturday for us. Fruit buffet looked nice but covered in fruit flies. Yogurts were warm. Selection of cereals and fruit juices (never tried). Milk on the table was in a measuring jug. Offered tea and coffee, both served in pots. Coffee was cheap instant coffee with water added to it and extremely weak. We were then TOLD Breakfast is toast or toast and boiled eggs that's it. No cooked breakfast, no alternative hot option. We received 4 rounds of toast between 3 of us. My partner and daughter had eggs that came boiling hot which burnt my daughtes hand. The eggs were not hard or soft and were actuallyleft. (I don't eat eggs).
Staff - Received a call on the day of check in to ask if one bed can be had out of the room I booked and paid for. The gentleman sermed polite on the phone. Seen no staff on the day of arrival until breakfast time the next day. I have never ever met a host so abrupt and unfriendly. Me and my daughter walked downstairs to be told "breakfast in there". No good morning or anything. The lady then said "Room 5 is it, that table or that one. Do you want tea of coffee, breakfast is boiled eggs and toast, do you want brown or white bread". My partner asked the lady for some cold water so he could dip the egg in to peel it. Her reaction was nothing more than rude.

Mark is a warm friendly and helpful host. The room was clean, quiet and well-heated. Breakfast included a selection of cereals, fruits, toast and boiled eggs. An easy bus ride to town. Definitely recommended!

The host was very friendly and welcoming. The welcome letter was an especially nice touch. The room was comfortable and cosy with towels, tv, toiletries, fridge and tea/ coffee & biscuits available.
The break fast available consisted of fruit, fruit juice, cereal, toast and boiled eggs so could have been better but given the small size of the establishment it was nice to have something included in the price to start the day with.

Very easy to find, parking space

Easy to locate, not too far from the town centre, good size room and bathroom. Have only seen staff in the morning, everyone was friendly and nice.
Booked for a family of 4; the room had a queen and a single beds only. Have tried to contact the numbers provided to request for an extra bed, my messages were ignored. The place was clean, however very dated; missing blinds in the bathroom, mould on the ceiling, the sockets not working- with the exception of one. I was misled my the amazing reviews- i honestly do not understand where they are coming from.

Fantastic location
No pillow protectors.

Breakfast just OK, no interest from staff
Windows not hanging off by one hinge
Carpet heavily soiled
Foul smell of cooking
No daily room service, removal of litter etc.
6.0 / 10.0
Friendly staff and a warm house.
Mini fridge in room was a nice additional feature.
Healthy breakfast.
Early check-in is helpful.
The price was very competitive for Oxford.
Parking available.
Bed was very old and creaked.
There were spindly spiders on the ceiling suggesting the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or dusted.
Window was broken and wouldn’t fully close. It wasn’t a cold night but it would have been a problem if it was.
Decor - stained carpets and marks on walls.
Guests seem to share the same keys so room security is questionable.

Location is very good. Frequent bus to central Oxford beside accommodation.
Although breakfast is lovely, there is very little choice especially with hot food, only boiled eggs and toasted available.
Rooms are clean but very tired looking. The whole place needs an update.

Great location.
Sue was lovely, very friendly and welcoming.
Could all do with updating and redecorating.

Sue was lovely (a credit to the place!)
Ideal location for where we needed to be
The place seemed a little dated and jaded. Seemed really attractive to spiders ie loads of cobwebs. When I reported it the spiders were evicted but the cobwebs remained. Small under the counter fridge fell off the shelf when the door was opened and the front of the shower dial fell off too. When I reported both it seemed they were already aware but we're doing nothing about it. Limited breakfast (particularly for what we paid) continental ± boiled eggs and toast but plenty of cereal, fruit and yoghurt.

It was great that they provided breakfast. Location was quiet and convenient. It was great that we could check in early and drop our bags off.
Toilet was a bit confusing to flush.

Owner was very friendly and the lady managing the breakfast was great too, remembering the drinks we liked for the second morning we were there, which was a nice touch
Property was a little dated but certainly value for money on the accommodation and location
