Excellent stopover in a good location

The welcome was great. Good English spoken which is always an unexpected bonus. The front desk guy went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He brought a fan to our room before we thought of asking for one. He offered us a kettle and some cups. First class service

Room for improvement

We loved the location and front desk staff. Also, the building is cool and the apartment has great light and views. Sheets and towels clean. Nice to have a washer and dryer.

The front desk people were not aware of our arrival. Also,there wasn’t any information re the internet or anything else. Fortunately the front desk people stepped in to help out. The apartment was dirty, especially the floors. The dust bunnies and hair clumps around and including in the shower were for the record books. Generally, a bit grimy. Also, the dish sponge was really old and dirty and there wasn’t even a partial roll of toilet paper to get you started. We booked this apartment so that we could cook at home. The stove does not work. The small electric plug in burner doesn’t cut it as you really can’t boil water. The was a microwave. Two plates. The main AC unit doesn’t work but between the units in the bedrooms and the fan, we were fine once we got the air circulating. Lastly, we asked the owner if she could help us store our luggage while we went to some islands for a few days. I understand that we should pay for the service but she charged us quite a bit and then questioned that we did pay when we picked them up. I had taken a pic of the transaction because I had a feeling that she might do this, but honestly it felt like she was trying to get us to pay again/scam us. (It was one her staff from another property that was present to help us retrieve the bags so she wasn’t aware of the link we had been sent by the owner to pay.) I’m not sure about this but given it all, it seemed plausible that she was questioning our integrity or attempting to pull a fast one. We are really good renters and we always leave things better than we found it. We did like the apartment in many ways but overall, it needs a deep clean and upgrade. Also, we really didn’t appreciate her nickel-and-diming. A little bit would have gone along way with us as we’re easy. I don’t normally write negative reviews unless I feel the need. In this case, I did.

So all the nearby hotels are much of a muchness, not great, but ok for a short visit. The food on site was ok, edible. The room had some cosmetic damage which hadn't been fixed.

So I was very disappointed that they advertised on Bookings that the room had air conditioning and it didn't. What's more I don't think any do, only 'the fifth floor'. They said it was Bookings mistake....

friendly and helpful check-in staff, proposing support witn the lugage since the lift didn't work!

nosy staff at breakfast, lift out of work with our rooms on the 3rd floor, rooms and corridors start to look really old!

Nice hotel on the outskirts of Rouen, easy motorway access with a couple of miles.

Large disabled friendly bathroom, and a room on the ground floor make life simpler. Breakfast is a continental buffet, plenty of choice. Sat outside in the evening sun, and the dog was happy in the grass. The hotel also serves a buffet style dinner, again, plenty of choice and good tasty food.

Although the double room was excellent and no complaints as such, would have preferred a disabled room with twin beds. Its just easier for my partner to get in and out of a single, but that's only a personal preference NOT a complaint.

Right at the side of the route just off the motorway but very quiet.

No towels in the room and after checking in, no one on reception and no means of contacting anyone, luckily bumped into a receptionist later, by a accident, as I walked the dog.

A great overnight stop for long distance travellers

We had requested a parking space for a car and a large trailer, and as we were arriving late after the reception had closed were very pleased to receive clear instructions and a code for accessing the locked car park, entry and room keys, Even better the staff had coned off a parking area for the car and trailer - great service much appreciated.

Great location, good facilities, great for a one night stop over on route to euro tunnel

Used this as a stop over on a motorbike tour from Montpellier to Calais euro tunnel. Needed something reasonable but not near Paris due to traffic, this was perfect , restaurants around, ideal local to get to euro tunnel off the motorways excellent roads.

Breakfast although adequate could do with a bit more choice on hot food.

Good breakfast selection

The parking is good & secure, and the location is great if you're on a quick overnighter. There's a mcd's next door (not noisy at all) and a couple of more 'dining' type restaurants across the road. The room was 'ok' nothing to shout about. Breakfast was fine - a good selection of options.

The reception isn't 24 hour - just be aware - don't turn up late :) The corridors are noisy and some guests were happy to chat just outside our room until late. The hotel was on the expensive side for the facilities & comfort.

We asked for a quiet room, but with no air conditioning, we needed to have the window open for ventilation, which because of our room location between 2 roads it was a bit noisy. A room on the opposite side would have been quieter. Breakfast was poor value in our opinion. Better off going to McDonald's next door for a coffee and croissant! Otherwise it was all excellent.
