Logis Château Corneille

Superb location, lovely breakfast. Perfect for people on a long drive across France.

The location was beautiful, the room had enough space. It was nice and quiet. The bed was comfortable. Check is was super easy, the keys were ready for us upon arrival.

The bathroom had mold and/or stained corners and tiles. When we entered the room it smelled like someone just had showered there. No bug screen in front of the window (it would be nice to sleep with he windows open during summer).

Good range of options. Pleasant atmosphere.

The Chateau and grounds are beautiful from the outside and the restaurant was great too and very convenient with friendly staff. We stopped over for the night on our way back to the UK via Calais. The linen on our bed was clean and the bed was comfortable enough, while the car park was also secure and safe.

Well once we stepped inside the beautiful chateau the smiles on our face were quickly erased. Although the lady at reception was friendly, the furnishings were seriously dated and the bits that were redone, was very cheaply and not very tastefully redone. The carpets were icky and needed to be replaced badly. The carpet in our room was dirty and had a big coffee stain on it. We also had a cot bed setup for our baby son. The cotbed stank of old sweat. The wall paper in the room was also very cheap looking. It was not communicated to us that breakfast was not included in the cost of our booking and we had to pay an extra 14 euros pp for this. Although the breakfast was tasty, we would have taken our time to enjoy it had we known we were paying 14 euros pp extra for it. For example, I had just grabbed a coffee and a bit of yogurt, but had I known I was paying that much more for it, I would have eaten more to get value from it. It was also an unpleasant surprise when we were settling our bill upon check out. Communication around the breakfast would have been appreciated. We would not recommend or stay here again soon.
