Quiet hideaway

Clear instructions and availability of the keys. Nice quiet location although in early Jan I think we may have been the only ones there!

Showers weren’t great, weak electric shower upstairs is unpredictable. Cooking facilities could be improved for larger groups. Consider making the hot tub area more attractive with some lights maybe?

As I expected and overall happy with my stay

No information pack, double bed needed a new mattress and the dining table chairs need to be reupholstered.

Improvements needed.

Great hot tub. Looked wonderful. Plenty of room. Lovely and quiet.

Unfortunately there were quite a few issues which were temporarily resolved but shouldn't have been there in the first place. The oven door was broken causing the glass to bang back and fo. The shelving in the oven was too small so suddenly crashed from the shelves dropping our food all over the place. The dining chairs were extremely uncomfortable verging on dangerous due to lack of seat padding you are practically sitting on bare springs. The bed matresses are so worn they gave you backache.

Lovely and peaceful.

Loved the location, the hot tub and the space! Lovely bedrooms, decent showers, good living space.

The TV picture kept turning black (but sound continued) every 5-10 minutes so you ideally need to replace it. The socket next to the cooker, when used for kettle whilst cooking, kept tripping the electricity, so maybe a note on the wall to say don’t use that socket? Also, more baking trays, crockery, cutlery, pans etc. as cooking for many people got a bit tricky.

As always the location and ease of check in and departing, lodge was very clean

Few niggles, cooker stopped working whilst cooking nothing to do with timer (meant more takeouts) Spa bath wasn’t working Beds weren’t comfortable The stone chippings leading to the hot tub wasn’t ideal

the views out of the window were idyllic and tranquil! loved the wildlife around us too! our beagle loved it

some of the beds had lumpy mattresses, the jets didn’t work in the downstairs bathtub, but apart from that it was amazing

Lovely location and the staff were really friendly.

Lodge was a little under-maintained, however the few little things wrong did not affect our stay and we still had a great time. Considering the impact Covid has had on the small family run park like this, kaowood have done a great job at doing there best to maintain the lodges.

How peaceful the location was.

No full length mirror. Cobwebs from the ceiling in the double bedroom on ground floor. The chippings getting to the hot tub could do with decking or a smooth floor.

Exceptional

2nd visit here. I love the location its lovely and peaceful and private. Has everything you need and the beds are comfortable. The place is very easy to find. Keys are left in lodge so spending ages checking in. We arrived an hour early and the lodge was ready which was great. Dispite it not been as clean as i expected this time i will come back. We have family in pembroke and these lodges are perfect for us and my daughter (aged 8) absolutely loves them she feel right at home.

The cleaning wasnt great this time round. Kicthen was spotless however the bedsides tables hadnt been cleaned there was a pair of womens eyelashes on one. And the floors were very dirty and definitely hadnt been cleaned. The downstairs bath has to be filled with the shower so i left the shower on and the head fell wetting the floor in bathroom and lounge i mopped this up and the water was black! I went round and cleaned the bedside tables myself. Dogs are allowed so floors should really be disenfected after every stay not just hoovered/mopped. The ashtray outside was full of cigarettes hadnt been emptied. The hot tob wasnt very clean either there was bits floating and swimwear labels. The hot tub also wasnt working properly didnt seem to maintain heat and filter was making funny noise i did report this to the man checking the hottub and he was very helpfull.

Amazing beautiful fantastic relaxing get away

The lodge was beautiful. Friendly staff . Hottub was amazing. Beautiful surroundings no negatives really we had an amazing 2 night stay and are planning on booking again rooms wnere beautiful and big

We had a little hick up when I arrived and went to reception as it stated someone else was in the lodge we booked. Ie we booked with booking.com and someone else booked with another company for the same date however this was sorted we got to stay in the lodge we booked. I recommend people book via the lodges website to avoid anything like this happening its the same price so no inconvenience. I would also maybe suggest a out door heater that would have just topped off an amazing place and experience.

Fantastic stay

Fantastic place to stay. Clean ,comfortable and only 2 miles from St clears and a short drive to lots of other lovely welsh towns and villages.

Deffo need a mop in the cabins but other than that no complaints.

lovely area , very easy and simple instructions upon arrival

when it rained , windows leaked , switch’s for the towel rails were not labelled, bath leaked water onto floor and shower hose was not fitted properly causing it to leak water. majority of tiles in bathrooms were not grouted and/or had trims on them, revealing sharp edges where the tiles had been cut

A wonderful relaxing stay in the middle of nowhere

We absolutely loved the spacious and well kept lodge. Perfect relaxing atmosphere

The hot tub area could have been a little more inviting, from the photos it looked like it was in a private garden. We thought it resembled a bin shed. We didn't bother to use it as the area wasn't really very comfortable looking, with just a picnic bench and a hot tub surrounded by a fence, with no direct access from the lodge. Some lodges had a nice hot tub set up
