Byre Cottages & Log Cabin

We just wanted a quick get away for our anniversary and decided on this place as it was only one hour away from where we live. My wife has always wanted to stay in a log cabin and this met our needs and beyond. The property is in the country well away from anyone and is so peaceful. There are a few small cottage style I think Four but we went for the Bayview cabin. You arrive down a long unpaved driveway which is not a problem if you take your time and you come in a car like mine which is low to the ground. The key was left where they said it would be but we were also met by Shawn who came over to make sure everything was OK and give us a few tips to help us out. the cabin is larger than what it looks like and there is more than enough room in there, take a look at the pics. there was a bottle of wine and a couple of cakes for us left on the table for us to have and fresh flowers which we thought was a nice touch. The kitchen was fully equipped with all you need So all you need to bring is food and drinks. The bed was comfy and with the log fire going was so cosy. There is a large TV with internet connection if that is your sort of thing. The toilet/shower room is small but functional and is just right for this cabin. you can walk to the coast down a path which leads you on to the coastal path, 20 minuets max. Loved this place and yes we will be coming back.
