An amazing experience. Highly recommend a visit.

Disappointing Room

The lobby and breakfast were very good. The host was extremely helpful. But the place was more hotel than b&b.

The room l was in was awful. It was a "garden" unit. I never anticipated being in a basement. There was no garden outside. I looked at another room and it was very good. View of the Burrens. But housekeeper said it was "expensive. " All l could see was cattle. Do NOT accept rooms 9 or 10 as they are in the basement. Room 10 had a tiny shower with a plastic curtain that touched your back. Very depressing.

Loved relaxing and talking with the owners.

We loved the friendly and welcoming owners and staff. The place was very clean, quiet, and relaxing. Our room was spacious with a nice bathtub and shower. The breakfast was delicious, and we especially enjoyed seeing the beautiful cows right outside — such a peaceful touch!

Would no have wanted to stay any longer than a night

Bathroom very poor shower curtain too short water everywhere very dated. Room was outside down some concrete steps in the rain not good.

We Were Sorry to Say Goodbye!

The staff at Cappabhaile House were all so friendly and always asked us about our plans and the little trips we would take each day. Breakfast was always amazing; the eggs and brown bread in particular always hit the right spot. The location was within driving distance of all the best parts of West Clare. We regularly made the drive through Fanore, Doolin, Ennistymon, Lahinch, etc. as well as boat trips from Doolin. Connor very helpfully advised us on whats local sights to see, and what roads to avoid which was much appreciated. The BnB offered great facilities such as WiFi, plenty of safe parking, a games room - and even some amazing books about the local area kindly provided to us by Connor on our first evening there. In our room there were two little 'cheat sheets' advising us on different restaurants, cafes and bars in the area, as well as local sights to see. You can immediately sense that the owners of Cappabhaile House love this little part of the world and want to share it with you. We would return in a heartbeat!

The shower pressure was a little low during peak times, but not unusable.

Charming snd comfortable

Very sweet and capable staff and delicious breakfast that offers both a starter (delicious porridge) a main course (perfectly prepared eggs or fruit) complimentary selfmade bread and delicious coffee. The rooms were so cozy and ours had a beautiful view on the garden and surrounding hills. Also the location: very close to everything you want to see in the Burren but also an easy drive to charming Galway City

Great location only a few minutes drive from town. We had a great room looking out on the mountain and a herd of cows. Large and comfortable room, friendly staff, and a great breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

Exceptional place to stay

Honestly, small issue that niggled at me was the sign over the front door, it wasn't in keeping with the venue, it's tacky looking and the venue is one of the best b&bs I've stayed at.

The combination of charm and hospitality made Connor and Margaret’s house a winner!

Connor and Margaret are wonderful hosts and team. The “House” is warm and friendly with decorative touches from their travels. Connor’s amazing photos of the Burren flora and fauna decorate the walls. The breakfast is authentic and amazing. The central location was wonderful for our visits to towns and archeological sites. Connor was a fantastic resource for anything Irish History.

On the Burren of Ireland near the college of art. I felt safe and comfortable.

The couple that owned the place were great. We had a late check in due to a flight delay and they stayed up late for us. The breakfasts were amazing. Loved having teapot in the room

Staying in Cappabhaile

View of Burren from our bedroom window. Specifically for guests as opposed to B&B. No stairs. Easy check in and checkout.Privacy. Friendliness of staff. Nice lounging area by reception. Pool room available on premises. Breakfast included in the price. Great choices for breakfast and spacious relaxing dining area. Proprietor gave us some refreshments to take on our guided tour. Room service during the day. Couch available in bedroom along with comfy chairs and table - without crowding it. Great thought put into the whole area to capture atmosphere of the locality- decor, furniture, photography in abundance selectively displayed. You could see owners took pride in their business and their aim was to make it homely and comfy - which they successfully achieved. As they were short staffed at breakfast time and were busy themselves providing it, there wasn’t an opportunity to say goodbye and thank them for their hospitality. So here it is. Thank you both for your friendly hospitality which was provided in true Gaelic fashion. It was our 1st trip out of lockdown having both been fully vaccinated- and the feeling of normality about it all was great for us and not to be taken for granted. And we had a memorable trip - a first in our exploration of the Burren.

Would have liked it nearer to town for walking back from pub. Would have liked a little fridge and information booklet in room.
