We happened to find this gem and we will definitely be back. We were only there for one night, which was definitely not long enough. Gorgeous views, cozy rooms and delicious breakfast!

The Water Country House was the perfect retreat. We were only there for one night, but the hosts and lodgings were wonderful. The hotel is exquisitely sited into the hillside, taking full advantage of the views and the natural surroundings. We have already recommended it to friends traveling to the area next year. We hope to return in the future, next time for a longer visit.

The Waters Country House is lovely! Clean, comfortable rooms, cozy public spaces, and beautifully decorated throughout the building. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire in the library on a rainy evening. The owners and staff were so kind. We appreciated their welcoming hospitality. And the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had anywhere. Perfect!

This hotel is absolutely nothing at all like it is advertised. It is truly in the middle of nowhere, there is no wifi or cell service on most areas of the property, and the hotel staff (apart from the nice man at breakfast) is unhelpful and quite cold. Would not recommend staying here unless you have little to no plans to travel around the area, as it is not located centrally to anything, and is quite uncomfortable at night.

It is a little off of the beaten path, but that was exactly what we were looking for. Wilhelm, one of the owners, personally greeted us and gave us a tour of the grounds and showed us to our rooms. He also welcomed us to breakfast, took our orders and delivered our food. He is very proud of his establishment! It is close to several tourist attractions (Poulnabrone Dolmen, Ailwee Caves and Newtown Castle).

This was a nice, relaxing and quiet stay for us on our road trip around the coastline of Ireland. The location in the countryside was nice and peaceful, but also close to town. We enjoyed the cozy fire room for a family game night while there. We’d highly recommend this place!

This was a beautiful bed and breakfast. Wolfgang is the sweetest man you'll meet and greeted everyone like they're family. They provide a scrumptious homemade breakfast that includes fresh baked bread, eggs, bacon, and so much more. You won't be disappointed by the options. We wish we could have stayed longer. The place itself is so unique and cozy. I highly recommend booking a stay here.

This property is off the beaten path, but it is an experience to stay there. The property is large and has a unique feel that makes you feel like you are staying somewhere special. There are a couple of cozy lounge areas, and an honour system bar for guests to enjoy. The room was comfortable and had its own bathroom with small shower. Breakfast was very nice, with hot options made to order, and a continental buffet as well. The area is quite scenic. The proprietor’s were very friendly, welcoming and friendly. If you are planning to travel from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher, it is a great place to stay to get an earlier arrival at the Cliffs in the morning and beat the crowds.

Quirky accomodation off the beaten track. Feels very dated and not easy to reach due to narrow approach roads and limited dining options, but that is part of its charm. The hosts are extremely accommodating. Perfect for getting away from the stresses of modern life.

Great private location in the Burren with huge vistas. Wolfgang and Maria are fantastic hosts. It is rustic, and I would suggest staying away from the economy king room we had which had no view and was pretty simple. Still, a unique property and memorable experience.

We were greeted with such kindness and loved every aspect of this accommodation. The breakfast was bountiful, delicious and there were displayed with much charm. Having breakfast on fine China was a treat. We had the pleasure of speaking with the owners who were quite delightful. Would definitely recommend and hope to return
