The Waters Country House

If you can let go of the need for everything to be pristine in your hotel room, you will love this quirky, shabby, out-of-the-way place! Host is lovely, bed was super comfortable, great breakfast, and just a comfy, funky place to hang out on the Burren.

Remote location, book dinner in town if you’re going to want to eat. We arrived later after a late lunch and brought crackers and cheese etc for a light dinner. Wolfgang and Maria are wonderful. Great shared spaces to have a drink from the honesty bar and meet other travellers. Breakfast was fantastic! The Burren was a real treat to see.

The host and hostess were one of the best we have experienced at any place. A warm welcome and big hug when leaving. The most elaborate breakfast at any B&B. So nice to know of your place. Best wishes

This was our very first taste of Ireland, and it was a place I regretted having to leave. The hosts have created such an amazing property, and they are a joy to visit with. The hotel is not an ultra-slick building like you'll find elsewhere. Most of it has been built by the owner himself in an older style. This is a huge plus, though, rather than a drawback. You won't find another place quite this charming. It's truly unique.
