Very courteous, friendly, helpful staff. Would return and would recommend the Hotel and restaurant .

Fabulous rooms, restaurant and staff.

Beautiful and warm rooms, comfortable bed, good quality linens, great shower, good selection of tea and coffee provided, lovely Mervue Organics toiletries. The bar and restaurant were excellent for dinner. The breakfast had a great selection of cold and hot food items. The staff were all very professional and friendly.

Our room was not fully dark as the lights from the corridor came in around the door. A shower cap should be provided. The prices are quite high for such a small town.

Relaxing girly weekend away

What was there not to like!! Everything was just amazing, the accommodation was perfect. The room was so cosy and clean with a sea view so it ticked all the right boxes. The staff were fantastic too especially Maria who really looked after us. The night porter was also extremely efficient and friendly too. We will most certainly be back. Would highly recommend 👌

Would go back in a heartbeat

The most beautiful and peaceful room we have ever stayed in. We could have sat in the sunken windows all day and gazed out at the ocean. The food was excellent as you expect in Monks. A very chilled 2 nights.

I'm being picky but 1 or 2 of the waitresses in the restaurant could have been more attentive. The staff at breakfast on the other hand were so warm and welcoming as were the staff at the hotel reception.

Breakfast was delicious, fresh and wait staff was very friendly. You could have a simple serving of fruit, yogurt or fresh scones, or opt for the large breakfast options off their menu.

A stunning position overlooking Galway Bay and the Burren, excellent food and warm, friendly service.

The attention to detail of the rooms, comfort of the bed and immaculate en-suite. The staff were warm and friendly. The menu provided a good choice with superb seafood options. Stunning location.

The most Peaceful bed and breakfast

Beautiful room with plenty of space. Everything is so cute and cozy. Right across from the water. Very peaceful stay. Walked up to the two local pubs just across the bridge but returned for dinner. Mussels and brown bread were excellent and a huge portion. 10/10 would recommend and stay again.

Lovely sea view. Very nice bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Good WiFi.

Evening meal, though the food was very good the dining room was extremely busy, which resulted in our main course being forgotten. This finally arrived after over an hour following prompting.

Monks Review

Lovely staff, bedroom allocated on the ground floor, which was so convenient and comfortable, coffee maker was a lovely treat, but the meal was superb - best yet on this trip around the W A W!!! Just one thing - no room service for breakfast in the morning. Next time, I will stay in one of the cottages, if they are self catered? Thank you for a lovely stay.

Amazing quiet location on harbourside right by ocean. Beautiful room with very comfortable bed. Kind and friendly staff on reception and in restaurants.

Kitchen extractor below bathroom window very noisy but was turned off at night.

So quaint, great restaurant with live music. Susan and her colleagues were so helpful and accommodating and kind. The view was amazing!! The cliffs of Moher are very close.

Perfection on the coast!

This place has been newly renovated & is spectacular! Nothing has been forgotten & every detail is perfect. High end but not stuffy & the most gorgeous location. Staff was super friendly & helpful. Restaurant was yummy for both dinner & breakfast. Quiet, peaceful & just lovely!!!

A blissful place for a quiet few days, very well appointed with super food and lovely staff.

The bedroom was spacious and well appointed with a view out to sea. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfasts and the meals we ate in the restaurant were excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Bedroom was lovely. Check in and out simple. Great location. Great views if beside a window. Friendly and nice atmosphere.

Couldn't park at property as no spaces but we did get a public space across the road. Fine for us as not many bags/ no children etc. Dinner menu was just OK. I had to inquire about vegetarian options before booking as only a starter on the menu. Breakfast was ok - set menu. Got the one of the orders wrong but this happened at another table also so we didn't say anything. I would recommend a pen and paper to waiting staff even if just a couple of tables as we had to ask for orange juice again and that's why we didn't bother we food mix up.

Quality Hotel, good food and a good base for touring the area.

Everything about our stay was excellent, the food was marvellous (including breakfast) good selection of drinks and plenty of atmosphere in the bar area. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I can recommend the mussels!!

Only thing to improve it would have been a bath (which is our preference)
