Cosy, welcoming, comfortable accommodation with private parking right in the centre of Stromness.

Cosy, warm, comfortable, welcoming. The location was ideal - immediately next to all shops, restaurants and the ferry. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of storage for belongings. Everything you ever need was provided. Private parking space was brilliant. Excellent communication with friendly, helpful host.

There was nothing not to like about this property. It was excellent.

Fabulous!

An outstanding cosy little cottage right on the quay in Stromness- couldn’t be more handy for the ferry and a great base to explore this beautiful island. The cottage has everything and more that you need and we wouldn’t hesitate to re-book when returning.

Perfect stay for a magical spot

The communication with David was fantastic. So great to have the washer for a quick wash of clothes. Amazing location right across from the ferry! We loved Stromness and the place was perfect for warming/cooking up a meal or for keeping some snacks. All the amenities you need. Thanks David.

Nothing except could use a blanket for those lovely afternoon naps on the couch.

Collectedthe keys fine but the lock was faulty and we had to call the owner to get in. Hewas very helpful, but the lock remained awkward and needs fixing

We had a lovely stay in Orkney and found Harbour Cottage to be a great location comfortable.

Beds and sofa very comfortable. Great teapot! Good kitchen facilities Warm in very cold windy weather. A great location for exploring Mainland Orkney.

Would have been good to have recycling facilities.

It’s a beautiful homely warm little cottage , very well furnished ,in a lovely quiet location and near to shops ,restaurants etc . David the owner very helpful . Cottage very clean and comfortable ,would certainly go back if ever in Orkney again

Excellent self catering cottage

Convenient location (we were did day cycle trips from Stromness), spotlessly clean, kitchen with everything needed for self catering, comfy beds, very quiet at night and very kind and attentive host! We would book Harbour Cottage again.

Brilliant little place

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed. BT wi-fi, Netflix, good proper shower (on small side but that was fine). The owner is very nice and polite (even thou we have not met face to face). Coop and delis within walking distance (5 min walk). Ferry port at the doorstep (wasn’t too loud thou). And on top of that we had a friendly ginger puss next door 😀

Foot boards on the beds were a pain as it made the beds too short for most of us. Couldn’t stretch legs ☹️

Lovely, clean property in a fantastic location in Stromness. Good facilities all round. Parking space at front was very useful. Loved the music playing on arrival - very welcoming. A great base to explore the beautiful Orkney islands. Highly recommended.

Excellent stay

Centrally located in Stromness, within walking distance of everything. Private car park in front of the house. Cottage is smallish, yet spacious, superbly clean and we absolutely loved it. Cousy and extremely well equipped kitchen, supermarket 3 minutes walk from the house. If you do stay in and cook, please go to the harbor fresh fish shop, we got fresh lobsters and fish, and really enjoyed just staying in. Ferry Inn next door does a very good food too. Would definitely stay here again, much nicer than staying in a hotel room.

Great value for money

Very convenient location - right in front of the North Link ferry terminal and 2 minutes from the main street of Stromness. The cottage is very nice and cosy. The keys was left in the box outside so we were able to get in ourselves at any time after the check-in time
