Conveniently located a few minutes outside Kirkwall, the cottage is perfect for couples. Comfortable bed. The bathroom is small, but has everything you need. Hot tub is a bonus. Some food items are provided (milk, cheese, oatmeal biscuits, fudge). Plenty of parking space.
The arrangement of the TV (too high) and sofa (at right angles) does not make for comfortable viewing. The oven could do with a good clean.

The perfect cottage for a stay on the Orkneys!
The cottage is equipped with everything the heart desires and more. It's spacious and beautifully decorated.
The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is spacious enough.
The location is quiet, surrounded only by farmland, yet it's rather close to Kirkwall anyway.
We enjoyed the hot tub and the sunrise/sunset view especially.
Not really a contra, but we'd have changed the layout of the living room area a little (table to where the couch is, couch to where the armchair is and armchair to where the table is now), given that watching TV is a rather difficult thing to do with the current setup.
But really.. one doesn't go there to watch TV anyway. 😂

The location is rural, peaceful, and private, first-class. The Cottage is a good size for a small family with great facilities and resources for a long stay like we did. The hot tub is a bonus and is private and relaxing.
Nothing, all was great.

Lovely cozy cottage!!
Everything was great a perfect locatie to explore Orkney and the whisky distillerie Scapa and Highland Park.
The jacuzzi at the end of the day was great. 😁
