A lovely cabin in a beautiful location

Fine to sleep in but not good for self catering.

Very smart property. Quiet. Comfortable bed.

Too smart and fancy, coffee machine was huge and couldn’t work it. Very sparsely appointed for the size of the pod.

Fabulous place to stay and well located for all the key sights as well as easy reach to amenities and ferries.

Very clean and comfortable. Great facilities despite a small space. Beautiful views over Stromness and beyond and the hosts were so helpful and kind. Couldn’t have been more welcoming even providing a bottle of fizz and some Orkney treats for our arrival and quickly responsive if we needed anything.

As a pod would indicate it is quite small so if you have bikes you will need to store them outside - but it’s safe and we didn’t worry about this.

A lovely bit of calm and comfort in a stunning location.

It’s overall just an incredibly lovely, cosy space in a really handy location. It was everything I’d been hoping it would be when I booked it.

I had a tiny bit of bother with the lock box as the front panel wouldn’t slide down but I cracked it in the end. Also, I found that I had to slam the door quite hard so that I could lock it. Both just little niggly things in the grand scheme of it all though and didn’t cloud my experience at all!

Best place we've stayed in Scotland

Such a great location with fabulous views. We were delighted with the goodies waiting for us as we didn't expect them. Everything was there to make our stay comfortable. The shower was great and there was plenty of fluffy towels. Unfortunately we couldn't use the deck because we had such wet and windy weather but I can imagine it would be beautiful to sit out there on a sunny day with that view.

Perfect!

A beautiful location overlooking Stromness harbour, containing all you need for a comfortable stay. Well equipped for preparing small meals and certainly lives up to being a luxury lodge. Owners are extremely friendly and on hand to help if needed. Would highly recommend.

Very comfortable and well appointed lodge with a view

The lodge is in a brilliant location with a view over the Stromness harbour and towards Scapa Flow. Very handy for the town and its’ facilities. It has everything required for a comfortable stay. Well appointed and spotlessly clean. Everything as advertised in the description! The communication with the owner was clear and accurate. Highly recommended.

Brinkies was beautiful. Inside there was everything you needed for your stay. Lots of lovely finishing touches to make your stay special. Lovely balcony with great views. A lovely property.

Exceptional

We have been traveling Scotland for nine weeks and Orkney Lux Lodge is one of the nicest places we have stayed. Clean and nicely decorated, it sits with a beautiful view of the Harbour and Hoy Island. Our hosts left us bread, cheese, butter and prosecco. What else could we possibly need? The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had fluffy towels. Highly recommend for a stay in Orkney.

Perfect location for my Birthday.

Lovely location. Well equipped Lodge. Very clean and very relaxing. Orkney produce gift awaiting for us with bottle of wine. Had a lovely Birthday, and we will definately be back.

Superb

Beautiful location, so peaceful! Great place to use as a base to travel around Orkney. The pod was decorated beautifully, lots of nice touches on arrival and very comfortable for a short stay. Hosts were superb, very helpful.

I had trouble with using the hot water on the tap but maybe that was just me being silly. Cooking facilities limited but it was fine for breakfast or basic meals. There wasn't much places to eat in Stromness so would recommend booking in advance.

Lovely peaceful and relaxing honeymoon destination.

Lovely bright and well appointed pod. We could have done with a little more storage space ( or taken less luggage) for a weeks stay. Beautiful views over Stromness and easy walk down into the town.

Stunning location with high quality well designed lodge promises relaxing getaway

Location stunning overlooking sea and hills, watching ferries and fishing boats arriving and leaving Stromness Harbour. Lodge is furnished to highest standard with everything you need for a relaxed peaceful holiday in beautiful Orkney. Every cm of space used functionally making snug pod feel spacious and attractive.

Our Lux Lodge was set behind two slightly larger pods with hot tubs and unrestricted views so we might try to book one of those next time but would be very happy to book Brinkies Lodge again without hesitation
