The view , the location, and the people that we met while we were there…. Our off-season was calm, peaceful, and very genuine. While not everything was open, what was warm, welcoming, with excellent food and personality! Clearly, very Italian!
If you want a view, which you always do, just know that your legs will pay a price. Elevators are few and far between, so be ready to earn your splendid view. Don’t let this detour you from going to this spectacular situation, just be aware that view is some times determined by steps!

La Polena was beautiful! The handcrafted winding stair case, lighting, beamed ceilings, seafoam walls, tiles, lighting, artwork…spotlessly clean…not just a place to sleep but a place in itself to be enjoyed…a treasure!!!
From meeting the couple who own this to our stay there was nothing we did not love!

Enjoyed the sea view from room and rooftop terrace. Location is excellent, very close to the train station. C

Needs more lighting in bathroom and a good continuous fan.
Be aware that there are lots of steps up, up, up (in town) to this apt, with spiral staircase that leads to the emerald room. Pack light and you will be fine.
