The room was very cozy and beautifully furnished, and the small balcony was the perfect finishing touch. The view of the sea was simply fantastic.
We especially loved the warm, family-like atmosphere created by Lorena. Having a chat with her in the mornings, enjoying a cappuccino, and getting her recommendations for our plans for the day were always a highlight for us.
The cleaning service was very thorough, and everything was always exactly as we wished.
The journey to Casa Caro was a little challenging, mainly because you have to carry your luggage up quite a few flights of stairs. However, it was absolutely worth it.

I liked the beds and air conditioning. The staff were helpful and responsive. It is located directly on the hiking trails with a great view & restaurant.
I would have liked black out curtains on the door so the train station light didn't come through. The video showing how to get there has no starting point context so it wasn't helpful. Written directions and different videos for Train arrivals vs Taxi arrivals at a little slower pace would have been awesome.

The view was amazing. We could see the town, the mountains, and the ocean. It was quiet even though we were near the train station. The trains are quiet and stop running by 10p, so they didn’t pose any problem. We enjoyed sitting out in the balcony. The staff was attentive and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and exploring the village.
The room was a little cramped. But I think this might be the norm of the accommodations in the village. The overhead shower did not work but the manager was attentive in having it repaired. There are 75 steps to get to the property. If given advance notice, they can arrange a porter to assist with carrying your luggage. But in the end, we managed our luggage without help.
