No assistance with luggage was made on arrival even after several contacts with staff. This property is very difficult to climb to due to nearly 200 steps and a very steep stairs from the street door to the apartment.

Incredible views, comfortable stay- woth it if you can hire luggage help

The balcony and view, air conditioner worked well, rainwater style shower worked well. Nice to have a fridge, and desk to work at. Bed was comfortable. Sliding door does have shutters one could close at night to keep sun out which we didn’t realize until day of checkout. Our fault (windows only have lacy window coverings/do not keep out sun and otherwise you’re up at 5:30am with the sun).

Lack of communication compared to other properties we stayed at. Reached out several days prior to our trip inquiring about video directions and access info. and were told would send the day prior (not ideal as we’re already out of country and unable to print info.), then didn’t hear. The night before check-in I emailed to inquire again- we heard a reply with info. the day of check-in while on our way by train. Initially told there wasn’t anyone to hire to carry luggage to the room, but then the day of came through with someone- 20 euros per bag. I would not recommend this stay if you have a regular large suitcase and no one to hire to bring up unless you are young, fit, and desire a work out (we did bring our bags down ok though).

Great location and beautiful apartment!

This apartment was located up several narrow corridors and stairs so we were thankful that we had just small carryon suitcases and backpacks. The owner sent us a video of how to get to the location which was extremely helpful. The apartment was clean and beautifully appointed. The views from the balcony were stunning!

Your paying for the view and convenience here, property is a little tired and outdated.

What you are paying money for here is the location and the convenience of location between the towns. View from balcony is stunning.

Very high volume of tourists between 11:00am to 4:00pm, room size equivalent of a standard hotel room. Property access is challenging with stairs & suitcases. Property is a bit 'tired', there were some maintenance issues which required attention. Marta explained this was due to unseasonal rains and water ingress, she did communicated about the unfinished repair of the balcony. However, the other issues of mould on wall & a broken umbrella were not mentioned. Marta said she was aware of maintenance and umbrella will be replaced. Although weather is not provider fault, could have provided small compensation.

Nice location and beautiful views

The location was great BUT you need to be an athlete to climb many many many many steps to get up to the apartment. Difficult with luggage.

There had been a leak on the terrace into the room just before we got there and there was bubbling of the wallpaper and wall. My wife reacts to mpld but the owner quickly moved us to a different room in another building when we made them aware.

Absoultely fabulous! Wonderful place and people!

We organised our own breakfast which was easy to do with bakeries open very early - apart from most retsaurants serving breakfast. Restaurant meals were great. The square was ideal for havin a snack, meal or dink in the sun. The parking and shuttle from just outside the location was very efficient

OUR choice of travel to the location was by car which was along narrow, twisting mountain roads where passing places had to be negotiated. I woud, next time, travel by train - very frequent. Never used the car whilst I was there.

Loved Mada Charm Apartments!!!

Magnificent view, huge terrace overlooking the town and bay, perfect location for visiting Cinque Terra and Marta thought of everything that could help us! She recommended good restaurants and even the best boat tour!

Lots of steep stairs, but that is Cinque Terra! Couldn’t find a porter to help with our bags when we arrived and we were surprised how busy Vernazza was! The Gianni Franzi deck became our little spot for Prosecco break in the afternoon!!!

The apartment looks exactly like on the pictures if not better! The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the whole apartment has been put together with a lot of love! The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is super modern (& the view from the shower onto the ocean.. wow), and, last but not least, the jacuzzi was the cherry on top. Marta was super nice and helpful & the whole trip went smoothly thanks to her advice & recommendations! I highly recommend this apartment, we enjoyed our stay to the fullest! BIG THANK YOU 🙏🏽

Exceptional

Amazingly located. The highlight is the balcony, overlooking the roofs of Vernazza and the sea. The room was spotless and had everyhting one could ask for (little kitchen with dishes, fridge, Nespresso machine, bathroom and some toiletries, A/C, a TV). The Jacuzzi was the icing on the cake. Also Marta, the hostess, made checking in as well as anything else perfectly easy for us. Due to the pandemic we did not have any personal contact to her but everything worked perfectly fine. She also recommended us to a place that delivered food to the appartment, which we took advantage of everyday.

Dragging our luggage to the room was kind of a hassle. However, that is Cinque Terre/Vernazza (also the charm of these beatiful villages) with its narrow streets and steps and has nothing to do with the room. People who are not very mobile though will have difficulties climbing the really steep stairs leading to the appartment.

A very romantic and well located place, with great views

Lovely lovely place in a lovely lovely town, a discovery between very historical houses, this apartment has every edgy tech appliances, but most of all, has wonderful views of the city, the hills, the ocean, even from the bathroom. Is a very romantic place too, with a big and nice jacuzzi for two. Consider that you have to climb some stairs to reach the apartment, so you can coordinate with the train station a luggage transport service, or take a breathe to climb if you have heavy suitcases. Anyhow, I could go back there everyday.
