Parliament Sq (apt 5) Royal mile

Located opposite St. Giles Cathedral and next door to the Supreme Court building, this was an excellent location along the Royal Mile. We could look out our windows on the top floor to the street below which was alive with people and entertainment. A representative from the property management company met us at the door and accompanied us to the apartment to show us around and answer any questions. Another company representative arrived to carry our luggage to the top floor. The apartment is represented well by the photos on the website. Unlike some accommodations, we could control the temperature of the apartment.

The website description indicates that there is a washer/dryer, which is incorrect. There is a clothes washer and a clothes drying rack. Climbing the stairs at the end of the day could be a challenge, but the apartment was well worth the effort!

Perfect location

The heat didn’t work in twin bedroom and was quite chilly even with heat on high.

Fantastic location. Great space. Very confortable. You just have to be prepared for 5 flights of stairs.

The appartment decoration was old and very tatty in places, particularly the bathroom and kitchen. Dishwasher was broken and did not work well. Could not get the oven to work. Gas hob controls were sticky and did not work well.

This is a very good B&B, right on the Royal Mile, next to the church. There were many street performers in the afternoon. The facilities are perfect. If I were to visit Edinburgh again, I would still choose this place.

It's a little high because it's an old building with no elevator. I might not bring heavy luggage next time.
