Great location in centre of Royal Mile convenient for Old and New Town venues. Very useful to have two separate shower rooms (each with shower, basin and wc) for each couple. Comfortable living room and well equipped kitchen with microwave, kettle, crockery etc. Top floor location and double glazing meant minimal Festival noise. (Traffic free zone outside meant no noise at all during nighttime and early morning.) Lots of stairs but good for step count and just stopped if needed halfway up! Really enjoyed staying here and have rebooked for next August.

Some minor issues: poor lighting in dining area made it impossible to use dining table in the evening for reading etc, (bulb missing from floor lamp); no bin bags, scouring pad/dish cloths provided and some crumbling plaster (viz hole in main bedroom). Also WiFi kept dropping out, necessitating constant reboots. But these issues trumped by the many advantages listed above.

Good layout for a group of friends, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a spacious living room connected to the kitchen. The bathrooms were clean and fresh.

The internet did not work at all during the first two days. We notified the host and sent a screenshot of a message prompting us to top up funds in order to access data, but the response was that the internet was unlimited — which it clearly wasn’t. On the night of our third day, the Wi-Fi finally started working, but it was extremely slow. At one point, I was alone in the apartment and still unable to perform even the most basic browsing online. Consider the apartment as not having functional internet/Wi-Fi. Poor air quality in the apartment — no functioning ventilation system. Some of the bedrooms lacked blackout blinds altogether. I slept in a room with only a flimsy white blind that was barely attached and let in nearly all the light. The bedroom with two single beds is so small that it’s barely possible to open suitcases. We requested a late check-out more than 6 months before arrival but were denied. We had also asked well in advance for extra keys but still received only one set, which was inconvenient given that we were a group of 5 adult friends. The apartment is located in a very tourist-heavy area, extremely crowded. In the mornings, we were woken up by garbage trucks emptying bins on the street, despite the windows being closed.
